    Terrible company. I am very upset that I decided to book a hair appointment which I paid $220 for the service in person as requested by the stylist to be completed with an additional $20 tip. Once I left I was sent an email stating my account would be debited an additional $180 which shows as a $218 on my account through my bank. The amount doesnt make any sense. They have no phone number to call & the prompts to request help is very frustrating. This website is the worst.

    I used styleseat to book appointment for hair service. For this particular business she require a booking fee to hold ************. it's clearly states that you will pay the remainder balance after the service. The hair dresser with Lux hair said she was not aware of a booking fee and tried confusing me by talking over me. So she changed up and said we would have to pay cash for the hair and I thought I would be refunded for the booking fee since she charged me full price. Contacted style seat and the response was: Hi *****,We completely understand where you are coming from, and appreciate you expressing your concern about the booking fee cost. ?If your pro cancels your appointment outside of their no-show/late cancelation policy window, the booking fee will be refunded back to your card. If the appointment is rescheduled you will not be charged a new booking fee.We hope this change will reflect the needs of our clients better, while allowing us to keep improving the service we provide. This fee allows for us to develop new features and enhance your booking experience, from new search tools, improved booking and payment reminders, one-************, discounts, and more. The price will vary by total appointment cost. We plan to keep a close eye on feedback from our community to ensure everything runs smoothly.We will strive to continue to provide value to all our customers by listening to your feedback and investing into making improvements for you, like our recent efforts to expand our support communication channels to provide quicker technical and account assistance.     On 3/19 StyleSeat froze the account I have had with them for over a year showing an error message I needed to update my ssn. I followed the steps to update with no response. I began email StyleSeat since there is no contact number to which I received a generic response. I was not able to deposit my funds from the clients who I service all weekend. On 3/21 StyleSeat emailed me stating I needed to provide a copy of my bank statement with my billing information and account number to verify my identity. I provided documentation requested. Hours later StyleSeat proceeded to tell me because I used a personal checking account it would take them several days to update my StyleSeat account to not show as a business entity. All the while the are holding over $500 in limbo. No where in the term and conditions did StyleSeat indicate that only business bank accounts could be used. Nor did StyleSeat reach out to me via email or any other means of communication to advise me of what needed to be updated PRIOR to freezing my account. I have been using the service for a year. StyleSeat continues to send generic messages stating they are working to resolve issue which is unacceptable without an ETR.

    I've been using Style seat for over 5 years as a consumer to book a stylist repeatedly. However, Styleseat blocked me from using its platform completely, for reasons unknown to me. Here's what happened: I've been a licensed Cosmetologist for over 13 years. Another stylist recommended I give a Styleseat a try because it can save time, automate the things, etc. So, I signed up for the free trial. However, because the process of creating bookings, specific services, etc., was overwhelming to me, I cancelled. I later signed up for the free version, where, essentially, you "pay as you go," the processing fees for card payments. I specialize in extensions, custom wigs, etc., using top of the line products, hair, etc. My services aren't cheap (but neither is high quality products in the marketplace, in any industry.) The day I finally used Styleseat to process payments, a special was being ran for custom wigs, frontals, etc. High quality weave bundles, etc. were provided. I didn't have a Styleseat card reader, so the customer(s) used the manual key pad. A few days ago, I tried to log into Styleseat to book my hair appointment, but I'm blocked from the system on my personal and business accounts. I reached out to customer service and they send me an email saying they "can't manage my business through Styleseat," then included a quoted paragraph, listing 4 reasons why my accounts were closed. Reasons included "...credit / fraud risk, illegal activities, breaking terms of service, etc." Firstly, I don't appreciate being accused of criminal activity, fraud, etc. In addition to me NOT committing fraud, nor engaging in any other illegal activity, or breaking any laws or terms, I'm not being told what I allegedly did, or what was allegedly done to cause them to treat me like a criminal (according to their own quote). Then, they cancel BOTH my personal and business accounts! I haven't done ANYTHING but service clients who paid for services! Why shut my accounts down?!

    I scheduled an Appointment with **** on Style Seat for Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. She texted me and asked me what service I wanted and said that Friday morning would be better. I asked her several times what the address was to her shop. After she finally gave me the address, I googled it and found out that it was an apartment, not a shop/business. At that point, I didn't feel comfortable going to someone's house that I did not know. I called her later the same day and I told her I was not comfortable coming to her house and I asked that she cancel my appointment on her end and I would on mine as well. A few days later I checked my statement and saw that I was charged for a service I never received! I contacted Style Seat customer service and explained what happened. A customer service rep then contacted me and told me that they could not give me my money back because they are just a platform for stylists to use to get appointments.Seat

    On Dec 8th I paid $107.10 in booking and cancelation fees for a hair appointment that never happened for a fraudulent hair stylist on the styleseat platform. I canceled hours before after trying multiple times to reach the stylist on a phone number she had listed that was disconnected. She had an address listed that led to simply a street, no house or business number. I messaged her the night before as well and she never messaged me back. I put in a claim with my credit card and they rejected it saying I should have fulfilled the appointment showed up at the non existent address that happened to be 2 hours from my home and it was the middle of a snow storm as well. If I would have fulfilled the appointment I would have been charged the full price and not gotten my service. I canceled when I couldn't get a hold of the stylist and the stylist never reached out to me after I tried to message her and call her disconnected number. She has fraudulent information listed and the company did nothing to help the consumer but protect their fraudulent employee. I would like my money returned and this stylist removed or be insisted to provide accurate information for future bookers.

    I did reach out to the business first and here is the email thread attached where they said they would not help me.  I reached out to style seat FIRST whenever I did not think this stylist was real and I could not get ahold of her on her disconnected number that I provided and I provided the address that she had listed.  I even messaged her when booking the appointment and she never responded to that message.  She never contacted me during my booking process.  She only collected my money.  I only want my money back from a fraudulent stylist they have allowed on their platform and they offered no assistance with when I gave them all the proof.

    I booked an appointment for March 12 and the stylist asked for a deposit by cash app. I provided a deposit but the company is a scam. They sent me to an empty lot. Style seat has no way to cancel service for scam companies and they need to. I was unable to speak to anyone and block my card was the only way they did not have hundreds of dollars. The stylist names are: ******************************* and I believe ******************** because it was her cash app. Both are on your StyleSeat. I would that appointment cancelled because it has not and their sites notified as scam. Your site say you verified them. And I would like my $65 dollars back for the deposit I gave them. I also want to make sure that StyleSeat did not share my credit card info with them.

    On FEBRUARY 27th, 2023 I booked an appointment through StyleSeat for the next day on February 28th I was only supposed to be charged a $10 hold fee which was due back to me once I met my appointment( I guess they do that in case people miss their appointment ). I showed up to my appointment and I was on time, in fact I was early. On February 27th this business charge my card not only the $10 hold fee but they also charge my card $510 which was not authorized at all. I contacted them with no luck their phone number that was on my bank account statement is not a working number for the public. While at my appointment the professional stated to me the charge was only $375 for a total of six appointments which I authorized. So at this moment I was then due back a credit of $145 which I still haven't received. I checked my bank account this morning to my surprise no credit still however there's another charge for $75 more dollars that I did not authorize I reached out to the company via email still haven't received any feedback this is bad business practices this is not okay people do not have the right to charge people's credit cards just because they have their credit card number I need all my money back that was not authorized this company is hard to deal with they don't have any way to speak to a customer service representative I'm very upset please help me get a resolution so they cannot continue to do this and have these bad business practices towards people

    Styleseat advertises itself as a platform to connect clients with stylists, however, Styleseat does nothing to stop scams (such as the scammer *************************** who claimed to be a hairstylist) from occurring. When a scam happens Styleseat does not have opportunities for clients to report the scammer, have the scammers account removed and/or have a flag on the scammers account for others to see. In a similar respect, Styleseat does not have opportunities for clients to report (have an account flagged) stylists who cancel on clients without warning or a chance to reschedule (if a client does this the client will have to pay a fee). Styleseat does nothing to protect clients from scammers, reimburse clients when scams occur, or have clients paid when a stylist cancels less than 24 hours before the appointment. If Styleseat will not do things such as reimburse clients for scams then Styleseat needs to allow clients to report that a scam has occurred; if a scammer does it once they will do it again.

    Made an appointment on Styleseat on Feb 21st for a service scheduled for Feb 25th 2023. Within 10 minutes of me making the appointment I decided to use another hair stylist, so I canceled the appointment. I followed all of the steps it required for me to cancel. On the day of the original appointment I received an email from ************ the stylist. That she charged my credit card the full price of the service I was going to have push a 30% tip or no show fee. The booking fee was $3.16 and I was good with losing that, but not that plus the $149.50. The stylist said I would of had to reach out to her personally to cancel. The website doesn't say that. This is a scam. Don't use this service. Once they get your credit card info they take your money.
