I scheduled a haircut on 2/24 for an appointment on 2/24 at 4:00pm... I checked out as a guest.Even though the website told me that I would only be charged for the booking fee of $1.25. I was charged $55.00 at the time of booking.I arrived at 3:55pm for the ****** to tell me that he overbooked the appointment, had another customer in front of me... and he needed an extra 30 mins before he could start cutting my hair. I waited until 4:30 and told him I had to leave. At 5:52 pm I got a text from StyleSeat stating that he received payment of ******. How when I did not receive the service? This ****** told me he would cancel the appointment... I want my money back and the booking fee. This is beyond unprofessional. When I show up on time somewhere... I expect for the person giving the service to be ready as well. This person did not cut my hair. The money is coming out of my account under StyleSeat... so StyleSeat should be the one to fix it.Business Response

On 02/18/23 I booked a professional for service style seat charged me $5.44 on that day even though the stylist did not charge a booking fee. On 02/20/23 style seat takes $198 out of my account without my authorization. The stylist and I had already made arrangements on payment methods. The stylist had also cancelled the appointment so I would not be charged through style seat. Style seat still took the funds . The service it self was only $ 165 style seat took $198 style seat claims it was for tips but I have my settings set for $0.00 for tips . So style seat went in my account and stole what they wanted . They do not respond in a timely matter at all and your question go unanswered .This is the second time this has happen . So this tells me it is a common practice. I want a full refund of any amount taking from my account $198 and $5.44 .Business Response

I had an appointment scheduled for February 15th 2023 at 2:00 pm. I arrived several minutes early. Per my screenshots of correspondence attached, I have regularly been in contact via Instagram with a stylist that I have never met. The stylist did not respond to my phone calls, texts or emails. Style seat does not have a live chat or customer service number that will connect you to an actual person. I called my bank and immediately reported fraud under scam category. Style seat sent me several texts asking me to pay for my appointment that did not happen because the stylist no showed. The shop location appeared to be abandoned. The shop location sent to me by text from style away is ******************************************************************************. I waited for 27 minutes with no response. The stylist attempted to charge me $124 for the appointment as well as an additional $75 charge. I would like a refund as soon as possible.Business Response

I made an appointment for my son with a stylist on styleseat.com named ***************************. I have used this site in the past without having an issue. My credit card is on file with this site and payment was drafted when I confirmed the appointment. ******************************* address is not listed only her phone number. I have been using StyleSeay for a little over a year now and there is always an issue. They charge unnecessary fees and take money from clients. There is no live customer service reps to speak with and once you open a complaint ticket via email they take days sometimes even weeks to respond. On 2/3/2023 I took payment via StyleSeat for a client that I see weekly. When I tried to payout the funds I keep receiving an error message saying they can't be deposited and I should update my account info or contact my bank for more info. I have done both and still cannot get my money. This is unacceptable.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
When the issue started I had not updated any bank or card information. I only tried switching cards after receiving an error message multiple times for a few days. There is always some kind of glitch associated with StyleSeat as well as plenty of hidden fees for both myself and clients. It took over a week for me to receive those funds.

Since the card was expired, the payout to that card was unsuccessful. I am informing Styleseat of a potential scammer on your booking site. Her name is Elatra in ****** ** (business name: ******'s Styllete. Her phone number is ************. On Feburary 4, 2023 I reached out to this individual for passion twists braids. When I was on your website I filled out the form after clicking book and she reached out to me via text. On the site it says that ***** is the only acceptive payment for deposits, which she confirmed. The odd thing is everytime I tried to sent the deposit on both her Zelle and Cashapp, the message " For your protection your payment was failed by your bank". I told her that the deposits were failing to go through and that they couldnt be sent to her. So she suggested that we send it to her significant other's cashapp: ********************* ($coreywoodspwee) which was sent by my niece's cashapp because I don't have cashapp. When I arrived at the address she sent me, she never responded back to my calls or texts. Turns out she sent me to someone else's salon. To test this out, I had my niece text her for an appointment. It turns out that ****** told my niece a diffent deposit price ($55) and gave her a different address. I strongly believe that Styleseat should do something about this matter because you as a company can lose credibility if proper actions are not taken. There could be other victims out there and future ones after me. How are customer suppose to trust the services listed on your site if you are allowing people like Elatra to decieve them. Her actions reflect your actions because she is conducting such behavior through your website. I am requesting that Styleseats do the following: (1) Terminate and ban Elatra from your organization, (2) Do a thorough investigation, (3) Refund me my $65. If I do not hear any word from your organization and an agreement to my demands, I will be sure to proceed to confide with my lawyer on this matter in which you are aware of.Business Response

I made a appointment on styleseat for 2/4 with *********************, I was charged a small deposit of $2. I show up to the address listed on the site and its a cleaners. The number listed on the app was a number not in service and received no response with I sent a message from the app. They are attempting to charge my card full price of a service I never received as a no show This is a scam! I created an appointment with a Professional located on the app and she asked me to cancel because she double booked herself, using IG, and didn't bother to update her availability on Styleseat.com. Additionally, I advised her that I wasn't going to cancel because the app would charge me. She advised that she would try to do the cancelation on her end but couldn't guarantee it would go through. I booked an appointment with a style seat stylist working for *****'s Designs on Oct. 28th for Oct. 29th 10am. She had over 4 stars and great reviews with pictures of her work. I asked a day before for more information, tried to locate a good phone number to contact her, and scoured her page before finding an address. I went to the address given by the stylist and waited for 15min with no response. I tried calling, but the number she listed wasn't in service. I tried messaging through style seat, but there was no response. I tried to get my appointment rescheduled, begging her to answer, and making threats to report her to my bank. She did not respond at all. I couldn't cancel the appointment because the appointment was 20min in before I realized she scammed me. Plus if a client cancel 24hr before the appointment, there is no refund allowed. I immediately called to dispute the transaction, but it already went through, so they had to investigate. While that went on, I reported her to StyleSeat and left a 1-star review.The evidence: pictures with my hair NOT done, screenshots of me trying to call her phone number that is out of service, ****** maps history of me waiting at her address for 15min with no response.Everything on the internet lasts forever, so if you guys do some digging you'll find numerous messages of me begging her to respond. The terms of service for style seat says stylists must provide accurate information about themselves that style seat asks for. It also says the they have to prove qualifications. If I had this person's phone number, name, account information or address I'd just *** her myself, but she lied about it all. I wasted gas, time, and money for a service that was not provided, yet style seat told my bank it was provided. Either give me the right information about this lady, so I can *** her myself, or give me my money back.Business Response
