Today, I reserved an ****** through their platform, only to have my booking suddenly canceled and my account deactivated due to an erroneous report from Inflection Risk Solution. This issue is highly alarming and demands immediate resolution. How could such a severe inaccuracy appear on a background check without verification, and what steps will be taken to correct this damaging error?Business Response

On April 25th I was notified by ****** that my account was suspended for verification reasons. After uploading my drivers license information I still did not have access. Later the same day I received emails from ****** and inflection stating I was removed from their platforms because of the information received from inflection. I was able to review the derogatory report and criminal charges of a woman who shared my same name and date of birth. However she lives in ***** and I do not. How can this company continue to provide inaccurate reports to its vendors resulting in canceled reservations, lost wages, closed accounts and impacted reputations. I have worked in finance for 24 years and could not do so with three felony charges. Im extremely frustrated and concerned who else may be using their services with inaccurate consumer reports. I did file a dispute with the company but have zero confidence they will respond or resolve timely. My confirmation states expected response time of a full month from now. Its unacceptable and irresponsible for this company to put consumers in these situations. Providing accurate background checks for consumers is a responsibility that should be taken very seriously and handled with complete accuracy. Do better inflection. Companies should no longer contract their services. The screen shots reflect the criminal activity and felony charges tied to the person they submitted to ****** as me.Business Response

On 4-15-25 I made a reservation on ******. Within 30 minutes of reservation I received notification that my account has been deleted and my reservations were cancelled due to information in my criminal background ***ort provided by Inflection.I immediately disputed this information. They wanted my social security #. (There's no way I will give this to a company that ***orts incorrect defamatory criminal information)Upon receipt of the ***ort, it appears that they have attached my name to someone with a different last name living over 500 miles from my residence. I explained to them that this was NOT ME and that this needed to be resolved immediately. They say that it can take up to 30 days for inaccurate information to be removed. I told the *** this was unacceptable and I need to speak with a supervisor or upper management. I was told that was not an option and that he would take my # and have someone call me.This needs to be corrected IMMEDIATELY. I also require a detailed list of every time this organization has sent out this incorrect information since 1998.Looking at other complaints its clear that this is not an isolated incident with Inflection.Business Response

The Company ran a background check on me for ****** and found a match with criminal record. The background check was purely based on name and DOB, especially as my full name is one of the most common ones in the country. Because of this, ****** canceled all of my bookings for next month. This is insanity, how could you submit a report without making sure that it is on the right person???? Now, I have to wait up to 2 months just so my dispute is adjudicated. On March 26th I filled a formal dispute with Inflection for misrepresenting me to ****** on my background report with a bunch of outdated information some from over a decade ago. I requested that they remove this old outdated information as it should not be on my background check report for over 7 years and the minor driving related issues should not be reporting for over 3 years and yet they responded without changing anything. Causing me to lose an opportunity to rent out my place on the ****** website. Im doing what I can to make people aware of this companies unfair business practices and will continue to do so until they stop discriminating against me.Business Response

I do not accept Inflexions response because their use of outdated information in my background report violates federal law. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (****), 15 U.S.C. 1681c(a), consumer reporting agencies cannot report outdated criminal records beyond the legal time limits:
Arrests not leading to conviction cannot be reported after 7 years.
Misdemeanor cases older than 7 years cannot be included.
Outdated drivers record information that is no longer legally reportable must be removed.
Additionally, under 15 U.S.C. 1681i(a), a consumer reporting agency must investigate and correct inaccurate or outdated information when disputed. Inflexion is legally required to either verify that this information is still reportable or remove it.

February 6- sent opt out and suppression request February 17, repeated, sent opt out.February 24, received a denial to my privacy rights- I want to opt out and suppress. They claimed I had no rights in the state of **********. This is a lie. THEY WROTE THIS TO ME:. At this time, Washington does not have a Privacy Law in effect which grants the deletion and opt-out rights you are requesting. Immediately fix the errors they provided to air b&b in a background check that caused the unjust cancellation of my account. I have never been charged with the crimes they told air b&b; I have never been charged with any crimes in the state of **; I haven't even been to ** in decades. They provided bogus information to air b&b that was used to cancel my account that I was using for temporary housing during a job change from one state to another.Business Response

Without my consent, Inflection shared my personal information, which hurt my chances of being approved for an apartment. I did not give Infliction permission to divulge my file and share false information about a criminal case that is more than ten years old and for which I have been granted a pardon. Both my rights to privacy and my rights as a customer have been violated by them. There may be an FCRA violation if criminal records are misused or accessed without authorization.Business Response

Inflection kicked me off hosting and being able to use airbnb because of a conviction that has been expunged. The law does not allow you to use an expunged conviction or sealed conviction as old evidence. I am a licensed *********** Broker. I had gone through the extensive background process to be able to sell people's homes. I appealed there decision to be able to host on airbnb. I would like clarification on how they can just cancel and abruptly shut my account down. I also have documentation of all evidence clearly stating dates of expungement from both state and city.Business Response

This company incorrectly reported information to Airbnb. Therefore Airbnb canceled my vacation plans and deactivated my account. I pass a BCI background check every year for my medical license, I do not understand why this company is an issue.Business Response
