If I can give zero stars let it be done. I rented a house through ****** only to have reservation canceled due to a background Inflection had done. I am not sure what they used for this but did not use my information. The information they sent was on a person whom lives in a different state, in which I have never lived, has a different middle name, and has been incarcerated which I have never been. All this was back in or around 2006. I have lived in same state since 1993, worked and retired from a place of employment after 25+ years, work part time now for a government office, volunteer at my church for last 20 years. My name needs to be cleared with ******, not that I will ever use their services, they would not even try to help with this issue.

To whom it may concern:As a service provider for ******, Inflection Risk Solutions conducts background checks on users of Airbnbs platform. Unfortunately, background screening is an imperfect science, and while consumer reporting agencies such as Inflection employ reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy, 100% accuracy is simply not possible 100% of the time. To be sure, federal law expects that some mistakes will occur during the screening process, and as a result, created the dispute process under the Fair Credit Reporting Act by which a consumer can contact a consumer reporting agency and officially contest a reported record.
As part of this dispute process, if we cannot confirm that a record is accurate as originally reported, we remove or modify it according to our reinvestigation findings and provide ****** with an updated copy of the background report. ****** then has the opportunity to reevaluate the consumers eligibility for their platform. For emphasis, this process is set out under 15 U.S.C 1681 et seq, and was contemplated by the ********************** as being a necessary remediation process to address the inherent nature of consumer reporting - that it will, inevitably, result in occasional errors on background and credit reports.
On May 13, 2025, Inflection provided a background check report on ***** ***** to ******. On May 16, 2025, Inflection received an email from the candidate stating that the charges did not belong to her. Inflection initiated the dispute process on the same day by ordering a county search. The search results, received on May 30, confirmed the absence of the records, and the dispute was subsequently closed. An updated report, cleared of the records, was sent to ****** on May 30, 2025.

They refuse to do a civil background check to verify the cause for the conviction actually exists, when you say that the cause for a conviction isn't actually there. There's a loophole that the judge, public defender, and the state fail to consider after challenges sent to the review boards, when I've been saying they took a sheet of paper that wasn't filed as fact for the last several years.Inflection

These people are idiots. Mine come back with many felony convictions. I have a concealed weapons permit that was vetted through federal and state agency's. BEWARE BEWARE!!!Inflection

1 starMatching people with no criminal record to convicted felons using only first and last name, and date of birth. Then bragging that their standard is higher than the trade industry standard. This is completely unacceptable. There is a responsibility for this organization to make sure they are reporting findings on the correct person. Airbnb uses this company to radomly check its clients. They matched me ( I have one of the most common first and last names in the **) to a convicted felon. My Airbnb account and all of my reservations were removed from thier program. The only thing they said is you are a convicted felon-contact Inflection for a copy of their report.I called Inflection and was told they would expedite my appeal. A week later I called Inflection to check on the appeal. No action had been taken. After taking with customer service for some time they said they would try to expedite the request. I told them I would be calling back to check on their progress. Within 10 minutes I received an email clearing my name. No apology was coming. I still have not heard from Airbnb. Inflection told me it could take Airbnb months to reinstate my account.Review fromScott D

I too just had an Air BnB reservation for me and my family canceled. I have a common name so I am confident these bozos found another "*******************" and attached it to me without looking a DOB or anything else.AirBnB provided me a link to these guys but it dropped me on their websites homepage, with no link to contact them directly, so I guess I will have to wait for them to respond to the email.Not sure which of the two organizations I am most unhappy with.Inflection

Negative 5 star review for clarification. I had an epic vacation planned and book through AirBnb with my girlfriend for her first time out of country and I got a random email saying they cancelled all my trips and removed me from the app because of a false, embarrassing claim that I have Assault with body injury to a family member with bodily harm! I thought this was fraud or been hack, however I found out this company inflection sent incorrect information to Airbnb and I will be out a few thousand dollars of flights, booked events and PTO from work. I am outraged by their ignorance to make this claim and absolutely ruin my vacation and my girlfriends first time experience traveling abroad to study at the university. I need this corrected immediately to hopefully not lose my bookings and be reactivated.Inflection
