I hope that people read the reviews because I have no idea how Sunrun has a so-called A+ rating from BBB. The final straw:Sunrun damaged our property and admitted fault (after more than 6 months of having to chase them down about this) and now is only willing to give us some compensation (not even the full amount) for the damages if we sign a document that absolves them of any responsibility and asks us to be silent about all these issues. Wow, this is how they treat their customers?!Other issues too numerous to go into detail:Botched installation Electrical not done to code, failed inspection and had to be re-done, adding months Took more than a year to get working The app was initially connected to someone elses property Required no less than 10 site visits , each time we had to make sure to be home, requiring significant time on our part Unresponsive and disrespectful customer service Trash and waste (including sharp objects and tools) were left all over our property and backyard where kids play. We had to clean up after them several times. I love the idea of going solar and really wanted to like Sunrun. We gave them every chance to shine however we were left deeply disappointed. If solar was an industry where there was lots of repeat business (as opposed to one-time sales) I am sure this company would no longer be in business. Unfortunately once you work with them you are stuck with them for the life of your system.Sunrun, Inc.

I have had nothing but problems with Sunrun. from wires left loose in my circuit breakers causing power shortages, to some kind of card failure internally in equipment to solar panel failure. I pay Sunrun ****** a month. I have had an electric bill with a 518% increase at ****** . I have had another electric bill at a 418% increase at ******. Sunrun made an appt. and never showed. another appt. was scheduled a month away. claimed the system was working even though their system could not monitor my solar panels due to system knocking itself of wifi . this company is no good!Sunrun, Inc.

I am not a SunRun customer. This review is regarding the attitude of SunRun **** that I deem unacceptable. They are rude and behaved like thugs lecturing me on how to show them respect when they cannot even respect my privacy and leave me alone. If this is how they treat their prospective customers, I could only imagine how they will treat their customers once you sign their PPA. You are locked into a terrible customer service and a thug-like experience for 25 years.Sunrun, Inc.

Sunrun came up with monthly price that is higher than weve ever paid and wont adjust. Just go notice that Im on the program that sells back energy back to Pge, thats a joke we pay $.39-49 and sell back at $.04 tREALLY!Sunrun, Inc.

SunRun contacted digsafe and had property marked for digging prior to me agreeing to have any modification or work done to alter my property.I consulted police advised SunRun to cease any work at my property, cease any attempts to open unauthorized permits, and not to contact me again. I further communicated in writing to SunRun office that I wish to cease all communications and contracts given their lack of transparency.SunRun representatives in corporate apparel continue to knock on my door. These solicitors do not match the appearance of any licensed solicitors for my town and arrived in a vehicle with plates which also do not match plate numbers or physical descriptions of for any licensed solicitors for my town. (In my town, a soliting license is required by town by-law.)These solicitors from SunRun continued to try to "sell me" after I told them to leave and explained SunRun has been here before and there is a police report detailing prior interaction. These unlicensed solicitors continued to stand at my door until I firmly repeated for a third time that they needed to "leave my property immediately".There is now a second police report detailing this companies behavior. If SunRun solicitors bother me again, I will be exploring my legal options regarding tresspass and harassment. I really wanted to like this company. I still want to install solar panels on my home. I support informing people about the benefits and their options. I dont really even generally mind solicitors... but if I ask a company to leave me alone and stay off my property, involve the police, and they still do not listen, then they do not deserve an BBB A+ rating, and instead should probably be investigated by consumer protection agency or other applicable authorities.Sunrun, Inc.

I will never recommend Sunrun to anybody else. They are liars, and they are careless. For the past three months the system has been down, and they never sent a technician to solve the problem, and they charge me every month. Now I'm paying National Greed, and Sunrun at the same time, and when I called costumer service, they told me even if the system is not generating any electricity, I still have to pay, because that's the contract that I signed. According to them. Also, I asked them to remove the panels over my roof, but they refused to and told me that the contract was for 25 years.Sunrun, Inc.

VERY upsetting to see how badly they have treated all their customers. I only have 8 wasted hours and ********************************************************* their system. SO FRUSTRATING. Would NEVER suggest ANYONE USES them in the future. Steer clear!Sunrun, Inc.

I wish I could leave negative stars! The panels are not registering. Sunrun charges $600 just to come out to see what the problem is. When we bought the panels from ******, service was to be included. Sunrun took over the contract to maintain the panels and now we have to pay or leave the useless panels sitting on the roof doing nothing. $30,000 down the drain. They have never generated enough power to pay for themselves as promised. Solar is all a scam. Nothing but trouble. Never got the Government rebate that was promised either.Sunrun, Inc.

Customer for over 4 years. Received service for less than 2 years of the 4 years I was a customer. In 2025, ********************** informed me that they no longer have a "bill pausing" option. Which meant and resulted in me having to pay for service I was not receiving. Four representatives and 2 supervisors reminded me that I entered into a contract with Sunrun and there was no option to terminate my contract even if I was not receiving the service that I am paying for. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!Sunrun, Inc.
