I was misled I was lied to when they approached me to sign documents for sunren I was told I would get a battery for the solar panel did not receive I was told that it would pay off itself my bills were the same I've asked them many times to come and get their panels all they do is send me bills to pay for something I was supposed to receive do not trust Sunrun. Sunrun hires unsafe and unprofessional drivers. Their driver rear-ended me this week, then came out of his truck on the main road speaking foul language aggressively and blaming me for something that clearly was not my fault. When I asked for his driving license and insurance info, he again spoke in a loud and threatening manner, didnot provide me the info for over thirty minutes. My car got damaged, I felt very scared and unsafe. Do better driver screening Sunrun!!Sunrun, Inc.

I just had a squirrel's nest removed from under one of my panels. Sunrun is refusing to pay for the panel removal and squirrel guard installation because it is claiming the damage to my roof that resulted in a leak in my attic is not a problem with the system production. However, the squirrels wouldn't have been there if there wasn't a panel wasn't present for them to live under. It seems to me there is some culpability. They should at least pay to have the panel removed.When the Sunrun-authorized roofer was removing the panel to clear the nest and fix the damage, he noticed a bundle of cables to one of the panels had been slashed--not chewed--SLASHED, as in with a knife. The only other time anyone touched those panels was when an authorized Sunrun agent re-installed them three years ago, after I had my roof replaced. That means for three years I have had an inoperative panel and no one notified me. I was never contacted about system under performance, and when I check my production on the app, it always says, "System healthy". This is the same company that lied to me nine years ago about covering panel removal costs in the event I needed roof work completed. ****. I had to pay nearly $4,000 to get the panels removed so I could fix my roof, then wait four months to get them back on. I am so done with this company. I love the idea of having solar panels, but they are more of a headache than they're worth.Sunrun, Inc.

Dear Sunrun Team,I sent the following email/and called many times.. Sharing my issue and frustration: I am writing to request immediate assistance regarding my solar contract signed on April 29, 2024. The system installed does not match the expectations or assurances given at the time of sale, and my attempts to resolve the matter have been ignored.I was promised savings by switching to solar, yet I am now paying $270/month to Sunrun plus my regular electric billalmost double my energy costs. I later learned my system's solar offset is only 35%, not the 100% needed to generate savings or participate in a buy-back program. This was never disclosed.Additionally, I was promised two Powerwall batteries but received only one. Sunrun technicians confirmed my 16-panel system cannot store enough energy to qualify for energy programs, and Ive been told the only solution is to purchase panels elsewhere while still paying Sunrun for 25 years. That is unreasonable and financially impossible for **** have called and emailed multiple times and have only been told, "You have a 25-year contract." This response has left me feeling disregarded and trapped in a system that was misrepresented.I am respectfully requesting:Immediate cancellation of the contract.Removal of the system at no cost.Cease further billing.Restore my roof to its original condition.Thank you for your time and attention. Had re-install solar panels by SunRun during July, 2024 due to re-roof. It has no issue until December 28th, 2024 when storm came. The solar inverter showed error message 'Isolation Fault' which is sign of moisture goes into the system. Contact SunRun but SunRun did not get back to me. Solar system back to normal after 6 days. So I think it's fine. System is down again on Feb 5th, 2025 when a storm came. Same error message 'Isolation Fault'. Contact SunRun then the case manager asked me to sign a $584 agreement in order to make schedule for technician. I told them system will be fine after 6 days, but they arrange the schedule after one month. Then system back to normal on Feb 11th, 2024. On Feb 13, 2024, system is down again due to the other storm. The technician cam on Mar 4th, 2024, of course, the system is working. The technician recognized the error message which agree the moisture problem. On Mar 13, 2024, system is down due to another storm. Contacted technician and case manger, no respond from SunRun. System is working. on March 20, 2024 after moisture is gone. Talked to SunRun manager, they want me to sign another P.O. in order for them to do the water testing because SunRun don't think that is their problem, even we have one year warranty after Solar panel re-installed. Feel so frustrating and hopeless after one month working with SunRun. The manager lack of solar system knowledge and all they want is getting money from customers.Sunrun, Inc.

I had Vivint Solar and eventually, it was bought out by SunRun. They changed the equipment that connects to my wifi a few years back to a box that requires someone from Sunrun to update the wifi in the event you change the password or wifi name. I just recently updated my internet service provider and had a new wifi password and name. I was informed by Sunrun about this in December and called them to have someone come and fix the issue. They scheduled an appointment for March to fix the issue. This caused a problem because now they were not reporting what I produced to the electric company. Now I received a bill for over $700 for the past several months when on average my monthly bill is $21-$22 because I typically just pay for the delivery charges. I called SunRun and they told me I have no guarantees in my contract for credit and they understand it's their fault, but they really can't do anything. The only thing they can do is check the system to see if they overcharged me and in 2 billing cycles credit me. This is absurd, since they were charging me for what they estimated I produced, but didn't send any estimated numbers to the utility company so I wouldn't get hit over the head. I was a fan of this company and told my friends and neighbors to sign up and a few did, I am regretting this now and can't wait for my contract be up so I can just go with another company.Sunrun, Inc.

This company has not held their side of the contract the entire year and half I've been with them. They promised apx $5,000 in tree removal, I never got that. They promised a 92% solar power production. I never got that either. They promised apx $4000 in savings the first year. I over spent apx $500 the first year. They gave me $530 credit. and when I tried to use the credit they continued to charge my bank account. I disputed it with my bank due to them pulling from my awarded credit and my bank. Then the harassing phone calls started. A credit collector told me to "shut up and pay my bill" and "I should be grateful that I was even awarded the credit", it was the weirdest conversation. I stopped communicating via the phone with sunrun that day. I needed things to be documented on email cause this seems very scammy. Customer service created multiple "tags" upon my call in October 2024. Its something they do when they don't want to deal with you. One tag was to conduct another shade report as I did not produce anything close to the 92% production. Only it took weeks to get them to conduct it. Then they never uploaded it and then the closed the case. They closed my case when they could clearly see on their end that my solar power had completely stopped working in October, coincidently the same day I initially called them to complain. I had 0 solar production from October 2024- March 2025 and they still charged me like I was getting top notch service when in actuality I was not receiving service at all for 5 months. The first year I received terrible production. Not enough to cover 10/12 months of electrical bills. Then they turned the service off. and expected me to just keep paying like an extra $300 a month for no service is no big deal... No tree removal, no savings, no help, and absolutely no respect. This does not seem like a real business . It seems like a scam.Sunrun, Inc.

A few months ago, we noticed a leak in our bathroom cabinet right below the solar panels that we had installed in 2019. Wanting to do our due diligence, we had a roofer out and asked if the issue could be with anything we had control of outside of the panels. The roofer saw no obvious issues so we contacted Sunrun and submitted a claim. At first they were helpful and got someone out quickly to inspect the panels, but the Sunrun associate claimed they saw nothing wrong but added some sealant to the bolts that held the panels on the roof. Unfortunately the leak persisted and we contacted them again. They said the issue might be leaf build up under the solar panels so we attempted to have them removed, but were quoted $2000 for a full removal and reinstall of the panels. This time they sent two roofers out to inspect the panels--both found potential issues that they said they would relay to Sunrun. It has been over a month and we still have not heard back from our case manager after multiple attempts to contact them. Apparently, they thought ghosting us would be the best solution. So now we are left with a damaged cabinet, a leaking roof and no desire to work with Sunrun ever again. Why did they not install leaf guards by default if they knew that leaf buildup could cause such damange? Why did we never hear back from our case manager once roofers arrived and suggested Sunrun was responsible for the damage. Stay away from this company. I wish we had gone somewhere more local.Sunrun, Inc.

In December 2021, I installed solar panels with Sunrun, anticipating their comprehensive services, including enhanced customer support, improved maintenance, and expedited service.However, in June 2024, we got hit by hail storm due to which we had to replace roof. Consequently, I requested assistance from Sunrun to remove and reinstall my solar panels. They quoted me a fee of $6,000 for this service, which included the removal of 12 panels. I agreed to pay for the service, but the uninstallation process took an excessive two months.Despite the roof repair being completed, it has been seven months since the reinstallation of the solar panels. I have been making monthly payments for the solar panels and have been paying my electricity provider for the electricity usage.I have been contacting the solar company every other week to inquire about the status of the reinstallation, but I have consistently received responses indicating that they are awaiting the necessary parts and have limited ability to expedite the process. I am uncertain about the specific parts they are waiting for, as this is a routine reinstallation of the same panels.The customer service provided by ********************** has been consistently frustrating, and their service delivery has been inadequate. I am unable to utilize third-party services for the reinstallation, as they have informed me that it would void their warranty if any issues arise. This restriction is unfair, as I am paying a significant amount for a service that is not being provided.I am uncertain about how to seek justice from these corporate entities. Furthermore, I am unable to void the contract, as they claim that I have not completed the year of service. This is unfortunate, as I am not receiving any service from the panels.Sunrun, Inc.
