1 starNot impressed with eBay. Advertise free listings and then charge you fees even if item doesn't sell. Very complicated to find out which items count as fees. Then they will put it on your credit if you don't pay. This is not like it used to be.Review fromErik W.

1 starJust adding to the long list here *** but the list of sellers with these same complaints is far longer then just what is here - 5 months I to selling on ebay * sent all requested information to eBay to open my business account to sell * all items approved and have been selling ** come to this month feb 2023 and they have put 2 holds on my account I. Less then a months times * stating " we need to verify your banking details " * you mean the banking details you had already approved in order for me to even sell to begin with ? I provided those 5 months ** they were approved - " oh I'm sorry sir * it's just a short hold " *** how long of a hold ? *** Oh just until eBay verifies your bank details ** but you did this already that's how I was able to make the account - ***** holds on ****************************************************************** limbo at any given time - no rhyme * no reason * just keep other people's money - I think sellers should be able to randomly hold ebay's profits ** just to verify their bank details that of course have already been verified..It's a scamReview fromSaul R

1 starThey stole my money. I had no issues with them in 16 years of purchases. Now they haven't made a deposit to my account after 2 weeks even though I put my debit card information. They take every cent of the money I spend but make it impossible to receive my money as a seller. They make it so that you're not allowed to take your bank account without registering a new one. 1 starTrying to resolve an issue with a fraudulent seller. Ebay associates have wasted hours of my time, given false information, and have not followed through with their claims. They each reference submitting a "report" to review my case. Then, weeks later, no result. I then contact support again and they claim I have never been helped despite transcripts of the conversations. All I want it to be reimbursed for my item that wasn't delivered, and they are all of no help.Review fromKaren F

1 starBought an item for my dogs on EBAY. Never received it. Complained got no results. They said *** was at fault. *** said contact seller. Seller refuses to do anything and says item was delivered. As a brand new seller on Ebay, within 24 hours my account was suspended on grounds that my account somehow posed a risk to the community while all I attempted to do was sell a legitimate product on their site. No recourse, no appeal process, just a simple permanent suspension. It's not possible to get in touch with anyone, believe me I've tried, and apparently I'm not the only one with this issue. I suppose I should be happy though, with this poor of a service right out thr gate, I'm glad I didn't get any further before the system decided to pull the plug during a more critical point, like receiving a payment. Good riddance, no wonder Ebay is failing, I'll take my business elsewhere.eBay Inc.

Bought an item. It was defective so I returned it. Seller has not refunded my money went on to Ebay to get help. It would not let me contact Ebay. I called and they just keep looping you in circles and forcing you to go back to online help, which offers no help.eBay Inc.

Based on the context in your review, it seems you purchased an item that arrived not as described. While situations like this are rare, they are still extremely disappointing to experience.
Per the eBay Money Back Guarantee, buyers are given 30 days from the date of receipt to notify us if there is a problem with their transaction. A seller can set their own return policy for when a buyer chooses a remorse return reason. However, if the buyer states there are problems in alignment with our Guarantee, a sellers return policy will be superseded, and they can return the product for a full refund of what was paid upon checkout. Once the buyer opens a return request, sellers are given 3 business days to come to a resolution with the buyer. Should no action be taken, the buyer can then ask eBay to step in to make a decision. 1 starEbay's Top Notch Treasures 1, advertised that eBay has Three door locks with one key, which I ordered. It arrived with the key not fitting the door locks. The day I received the locks, I contacted eBay on their website about the unusable locks. The order was removed from my order history, making it impossible for me to get a refund and let the company know they are selling faulty materials. I tried every avenue to report the problem. Because the purchase was removed from my file by the seller, I am unable to report the purchase and I now have three locks without a working key and am minus $52.61 in cash. My item was NEVER delivered to me but eBay decided I should have to pay $230 for something I NEVER received! USPS tracking indicated it had been left in the mailbox, however, it was not. USPS screwed up and eBay decided I should pay the price. The sender should have required a signature for something of this value. Other marketplaces have limits where sellers are required to use signature confirmations for anything over certain limits, but not eBay. The onus is on the seller to make sure this item gets to me. I have no control over shipping mistakes. I have been using eBay for over a decade as a buyer and a seller but I will never use eBay again, and I strongly encourage others to use other marketplaces as well.eBay Inc.

In alignment with our eBay Money Back Guarantee, for eBay to facilitate a refund for an item that has not arrived, a case must be opened within 30 days of the estimated delivery date (60 days for international sales). If a case is not opened within this timeframe, we are unable to place the sellers funds on hold in order to facilitate a refund.
When asked to step in on an Item Not Received case, our decision will be based solely on the tracking information provided. As you alluded to, if the tracking information provided by the shipping carrier indicates delivery to your checkout address, the seller has fulfilled their requirements and the case would be then closed in the sellers favor. At such point, we would suggest working with the shipping carrier and/or seller to file any insurance or reimbursement claims available.
Furthermore, in regards to your signature confirmation concerns, In order for sellers to receive protection on eBay when a buyer reports an item not received or opens a payment dispute, and for buyers to be protected if a seller doesn't receive a returned item, we require that signature confirmation is added when shipping higher value orders.If the order has a total cost (including shipping costs and any taxes) of $750 or more, a seller is required to purchase signature confirmation.

I got scammed. I ordered BATTERY'S for my drill, the batteries on the pictures and the description said oem and genuine. Not the case when I got the battery's. I got an (unlicensed) knock off. I would of never bought them i knew. I spoke to seller. they tried to get me to keep items. Filed for a refund and my case got closed because I didn't have time to take out of my busy life to take to post office. If the business was transparent I wouldn't have to go to the post office. No justice! It's now ok for seller to do false advertising which is illegal may i add, with no consequences! Lost a customer!eBay Inc.
