      I have owned several GoPro cameras. DO NOT BUY A HERO12! The camera overheats and shuts off. I contacted GOPRO and they were very difficult to work with. I have had subscription for years with GOPRO. My case #******** is common sense. I want to return the camera and go back to my MAX360. It's an equal value.

      They stole money buy signing me up for a subscription that I canceled and never updated my credit card. They made up an address and forced the membership on an expired card and made up and address with my zip code. They refused to refund the money - the customer service lady told me I should learn how to manage my money and they kept going in circled of the membership benefits. I have screenshots of the expired card and forced transaction. I did not authorizes the subscription - they used an expired card and created false documents - there needs to be a class action against them - I am sure this is happening to millions around the globe - this is deplorable.

      BUYER BEWARE! Their subscription service is sneaky and they make it very hard to disentangle from them. They refuse to refund even a prorated portion of an unused subscription though I had it for three years and had never logged in to use it. I tried to get a refund the day it was billed for the following year, even prorated, and they refused. They offered some Gopro gear instead of a refund. The amount of the subscription is ***** per year, up from 48 the previous year. Their customer service is not good, but if they have to enforce those types of policies, I guess their jobs would be very hard. If you subscribe, you should go and disengage the auto-renew immediately so you are not charged for another year without notice. Obviously, I should pay for the years where I didn't cancel, but to refuse to refund upon renewal is criminal. Enter at your own risk.

      Be aware of GoPro's subscription service, once you sign on the service, it will automatically charge to your payment WITHOUT any notifications. Try to contact the customer support, and no luck...After charged, you're not able to get any refund even just past one day of renew date.

      Subscription scheme same story as everyone else, the only solution is to do a charge back through your bank - hopefully we can all force them to stop this predatory behavior

      Two years ago I subscribed to their yearly subscription. A year ago when it came up for renewal, I cancelled. They offered me a discount to stay, but I refused because I didn't use the service. Now another year later, I see a charge from gopro. My credit card had expired so how they managed to charge me is bs, but I called. I've never dealt with such horrible people. They do not care. They have a fast answer for everything you try to say to them. They send renewal emails (they didn't. Yes I checked spam. I didn't check a box that allowed them to send me a renewal email) They can't transfer you. They can't see that you haven't logged on. Whatever you bring up, they have a fast answer. After getting a callback from a supervisor and getting treated even worse than the front line idiot in spite of me doing everything I could do to be polite, the only way I was going to get refunded was if I had a screenshot from a year ago that proved I cancelled. They do not care. They will treat you horribly if you call them. You might as well go straight to your credit card company and open a dispute. It's your only hope and it will save you from just being treated poorly by gopro. They will NEVER get another ***** from me. Absolute horrible human beings.

      I just got my GoPro karma out of storage and just now finding out about the controller pairing issues from what I heard go pro customer service will do nothing to help you. Ive been a loyal, GoPro customer ever since the original hero camera have bought many cameras since then, including the hero 12 and now finding out about this issue I think that will be the last one that I ever purchased from this company.

      GoPro offers free 1 year App subscription in package when you purchase a unit. They force you to put in your credit card information for the free service. After the 1 year, they state you should receive an email about a renewal. They charged my card, without sending renewal email. They will not offer a refund if the subscription is cancelled. The will not pro rate the subscription for refund. They will not process any refunds. This has to be against the law.

      0/5 stars. Their items are great, but do not order from them direct. I ordered a bunch of items and when the box arrived it had been torn apart, the items removed, and taped closed. This has nothing to do with GoPro, but this is where it begins. I recorded myself opening the package knowing it was empty and immediately started the claims process. They were very helpful and assured me this should be an easy dispute to replace my items and should hear back in 10 business days. I heard back from the shipper the next day about the investigation and that was the end of it. I waited a month and no response. So I submitted a dispute with my credit card company. Fast forward two months and they reach back out to my credit card company and tell them the claim is false as the package was delivered. I immediately called GoPro yet again to get it resolved and they want to tell me they cant just submit a refund, they have to go through about 10 business day process of submitting tickets just to communicate with their billing department and warehouse. If you value your time and money, dont purchase from them directly. Just go to Best Buy or Amazon and save yourself some frustration.
