      In September of 2023, I did an impression kit for a Byte clear aligners. In Octobe, I paid $3,148 to start treatments. Things went fine until I had a few issues towards the end of treatment with fit and was asked to upload photo. I did and was asked again to send photos. After a bit of circling, I just gave up and asked for the retainer. In May of 2024, I paid $149 and received 1 retainer. I received a notice from Byte saying to stop use and now my teeth have gone back to how they were prior to starting treatment. I did not sign the notice nor did I visit a dentist to get advice/provide Byte with information as that was not part of my initial treatment agreement and is more money out of my pocket. I am seeking a refund.

      I was focused to get all these extra things when all I wanted was the aligners then they proceeded to tell me its the best option. Then I had to pay monthly for it. Its been a lot. And my gap never closed. I wanted it to close. I feel I wasted money and still am paying it monthly. I want to stop.

      I got sent an impression kit on 2/3/2024. Was told I was a good fit for their product and ordered my aligners on 2/22/2024. They were okay at first but fit wasn't quite right and got worse as I progressed. They started to cause a lot of ******** and I couldn't wear them anymore. I reached out to them and was told to go back to my previous aligners but non of them fit anymore. I messaged them and told them what was happening and that I wanted a refund. I also received a letter from them regarding the lawsuit filed against them because they weren't clear on the effects they would have on certain people (which I was in the category of). They said that I would need to see a dentist and get a letter saying I am no longer fit for treatment in order to get refunded. I went to the dentist who said I would need to see the orthodontist about it, which I did. I got the letter and sent it to them. They emailed me back saying that they could not offer me a refund and to continue treatment. I asked why and they responded the same as the first email with no reason why. I am currently having to get treatment from my orthodontist to fix what their product did to my jaw. I have a 100% overbite and a bad overjet. I now have to pay over $6000 for this treatment. All I want is a refund for the treatment that I could not use because of their oversight and the effects it was having on my jaw and teeth. I have transcripts of all conversations with them if needed.

      I purchased through Bye in 2020 and it took some time to get my trays and once I did there was issues with it cutting into my gums so I left them in their box for a couple of years until about 2023 I finally pulled them back out and started using as directed: everything was fine until the last 4 sets. I reached out to customer support which they kept giving me the ring around sending the same email asking the same questions and pictures but never resolving my issue other then telling me to go back and repeat the steps which I did, I would say the last round I did for a month each set and still no movement and no help from byte on refinements. They finally said I could re-enter the program but would have to pay around $150 bucks when I questioned why I would need to pay when I already paid so much they said it was a balance. I had received notice I paid off my balance and never missed a payment. I opened the app to check the account and it said account was paid off. When I pulled up transactions it looks like there was a $0.84 cent balance which I gladly had no issue paying but they never said or contacted me about a balance and if they did interest charge off that then thats highway robbery. Im very dissatisfied in the customer service but the fact I paid for a product that did not work and had not produce results guaranteed and definitely not in the 6 months I was promised. Im usually not one to complain but this was pricey and its bad business to treat customers this way and make it so difficult to just get the care and results promised,

      I got Byte back in November 2021. I repeatedly reached out to them because the aligners were not working and even ordered replacement aligners. They told me to back track and basically start over. I took my time with each aligner wearing them for a month+ at a time (I had 11 steps to go through) to insure I was using them correctly. When I recently reached out to them, they said my aligner guarantee was "void". I had received NO communications from Byte stating that this was going to happen. They actually NEVER reached out unless I did first, even though I had a dentist that was supposed to be "overseeing" my progress. Unbeknownst to me, I have been wearing my aligners as I was told to do not knowing that Byte was quietly voiding my account. My treatment didnt end years ago because that would mean the aligners were successful at fixing my teeth and they werent. Also, since I wasnt aware there was a timeframe I had to abide by and the fact that I have been actively using the aligners, I decided to reach out to either request new molds and aligners or get a refund. After doing some recent research and reading negative reviews, lawsuits, *** investigations (stating severe *********************** with aligners, ineffectiveness, lack of dental oversight, false advertising & breached contracts) and a company shutdown, I opted the refund route. My teeth have not progressed as Byte stated they would, I suffered a ************* and have paid for services that Byte has failed to deliver. I PAID $2,560.15. ADDITIONALLY, I paid $649.00 for the Byte Protection Plan which covers me for 5 years and covers retainers that I havent gotten. They say my account is "void" so are they stealing that money from me? They sold me a product that was illegitimate, unsafe and not *** approved from the beginning and Byte is in breach of contract by failing to deliver a promised asset. They refuse to respond to my emails and provide me with a refund.

      I signed up for Byte hoping to straighten my teeth, only a few months in I realized the health of my teeth were declining, I ended up with a chipped tooth, I never received the second half of my treatment, and after going to the dentist and getting a letter saying they recommend I stop treatment with byte and why, they refused to give me any kind of refund, keep in mind again I got the first half of my aligners never received the second half not that I would have continued to use them because of the decline in my teeth health but that alone should justify a partial refund; the letter from the dentist saying I should cease treatment (that byte asked for) should get me a full refund..

      I am rejecting this response because: I have went above and beyond reaching out to you all, getting terrible customers service, different turn around time expectations, Ive asked for the address to the legal department multiple times and was ignored.. my dentist recommended I cease treatment yet you all still refuse to give a refund of any kind.. Ive sent many emails with no response.. its simple you didnt provide the service you should offer a refund. It was recommended by a medical professional for me to cease treatment no further action should be needed to get a refund.

      I have been trying to successfully use Byte since 04/05/2022 to their claims of getting straighter teeth with less hassle and lower costs. The company was very thorough in my pre meetings, answering any questions and making sure I was set to go. As soon as I made my first payment I have been struggling to get in touch with anyone at Byte. Unanswered emails, AI bots answering chats, and no phone lines have left me frustrated for three years while my teeth never got straightened and they kept sending impression kits and more aligners that never made a difference. My teeth are now worse than when I started, even after nightly use of their aligners. These were apparently approved by their dental team but instead of helping me with two problem spots, I now have more. They provided no help with these at all. After telling them this, they tried to make me order more impression kits and spend more money on aligners to fix the problems they created. When I reached out for help at any point in the past three years I was told I would get a follow up email that never came. I confirmed multiple times with **** that my information was correct. I have now spent $2,798.45 on a company that lied about what their products can do and provided fake medical devices.

      I was told Byte aligners would address my TMJ issue. After starting treatment , obeying all of the rules for continuing treatment, visiting all of the recommended dentists, getting letters, im am ultimately being told by a Byte affiliated dentist, that the aligners would be of no help to me. **************** has hung up on me several times and refuses to give out any contact information regarding a supervisor or manager. Byte refuses to call me and discuss the issue. All of this happened after being initially reassured their aligners would be helpful for the condition specifically asked about prior to enrolling and after paying for the Byte protection coverage. My face is still in pain as Byte takes no accountability.

      I made a down payment with byte last year in 2024fir treatment. they messed up my top teeth trying to fix bottom. I asked for a refund due to no response from them for several months during treatment. Once they started communicating with me they asked for a 3d scan of my teeth in which no dentist is willing to do. They then requested a note from my dentist stating they will not do a 3d scan as it is impossible. After turning In Document they asked that I get a note from my dentist stating I want to stop treatment. I advised byte that they already asked for a documentation stating my dentist cannot do an 3d scan and that they said they will refund after I provided it. Byte wrote back and said they refunded to original payment method from last year. I advised byte I don't have access to the original payment method ... they didn't respond to me until a day later and said it shouldn't be a problem. I provided byte with an updated card and asked that they refund to the updated card info I gave them. Byte told me it should be a problem and to contact my bank. They totally ignored my request and I have no ideas where my refund is going..... please help

      Hello, I purchased aligners from Byte in 2020. I used them exactly as directed and they have a Byte for Life guarantee. I reached out to support several times just to be left and received no help. My dentist said these aligners have destroyed my teeth. I need a FULL refund as the guarantee they promised. I am getting no answer from their support and now they have lost *** accreditation. I feel as though I was scammed by this company as well as millions of others who have trusted them.
