    On 1/8/2025, my wife took her car into Daisy Tire for a tire repair which was related to a nail in the tire. She was charged $23. dollars for the repair. The tire seemed fine until Sunday, January 12th, 2025 when she had left our home in the car with the repaired tire. She called me, by cell phone, saying that she had a flat tire. I went to her in my other car and saw her on the side of North Ojai Road. Right away, I noticed that the tire which was just repaired, was flat. I removed the wheel from the car and took it home to refill it with air. I tried a couple of times but the tire would not hold the air. Upon closer inspection of the tire, I noticed that the inner bead of the tire had a 1/2 inch divet on it which was preventing air from staying in the tire. Since Daisy Tire was not open, and I did not have a usable spare, I was forced to go to a tire place that was open on Sunday. I showed the wheel, still on the tire, to the tire professional and he stated that the tire was definitely damaged by whoever put the tire back on the rim and that the tire was no longer usable or repairable. I asked him to please put a new tire on the rim which cost me $102.95. On Tuesday, January 14th, I went to Daisy Tire to request a refund for the tire repair only, which they refused to give. He said that the other tire place did the damage not his shop. The tire was just fine and only needed to have a nail removed and patched but they ruined my tire and rendered it unusable during their repair process.

    Unfortunately, we did the flat repair and the flat repair worked fine or else the tire would have gone flat that same day. We also check it after we're done to make sure it has no leaks. Now the reason I told the customer that the damage to the tire could have happened when the other shop took it off was because they dismounted it and they could have broken the bead. There is no way for us to know that didn't happen because he didn't bring it back and the tire was already off the wheel. Also, we can't refund his money for a new tire when he just brought it in for a flat repair. There is no way of us knowing if the damage to his tire was done here or at the other shop because we did not take off the tire. I can confirm the flat repair was done correctly.
