    Very unprofessional, one of their mechanics named Daniel told me I can get a refund and then when I came back told me it’s too late he only would’ve gave it the day before which I couldn’t go because I had another appointment. He was extremely rude. Horrible experience there. I’ve never done one of these but this business pushed me to the point where it seems like it’s worth the report. I hope NO ever goes here and has to deal with what I did.

    Golden State Smog in Temecula.
    Our 2013 Prius had a blown head gasket. When we learned we may be able to get a low mile engine ( 35k from Japan) we decided to have the entire engine replaced with a newer year engine (head gasket issues resolved) .
    After paying for the engine replacement and an additional payment of a warranty for 6-12months or 1200 miles, we found 7 days after the replacement engine was installed that they put in a bad engine (burns through over a quart of oil a week).
    They were unable to find a new replacement for months upon months. We were patient until 9 months later. We asked for a refund since there were no replacements available. Once we had asked for a refund they found an engine with 126,000+ miles and wanted an additional $800+ . We said we wanted the refund. We were only given $2200 out of $3600.
    We trusted them to give us a good engine and in doing so, we had no problem paying for the warranty. The warranty was never used since a good engine wasn’t installed. They will not refund the $600 warranty stating it was OUR choice to not install the high mileage engine at a higher cost- nor will they refund the labor. The refund came from the engine company they use. They did not loose any money and gained the unused warranty money. Customer Service was very, very poor and person at the front desk was completely unprofessional and rude. Communication was horrible.
