I took my Porsche 911 to ***s Foreign Auto in Temecula. California dropped it off on January 11. Car was drivable. Until the battery went dead. I needed to have the battery replaced the fluids changed, and the transmission checked. AAA picked it up. I drove it out of the driveway down the street so they could put it on the AAA flatbed truck. They left the car running as the battery was dead. No lights were on except the check engine oil level light. upon dropping it off at ***’s auto service I didn’t received any paperwork odd I waited. He went on to help another cus***er who was there after me so I left, thinking he would Email me. three weeks pass I do not receive a email phone call from ***. So I drive to his shop and ask him what’s going on and he tells me oh I didn’t think you needed the car because you have two other cars. Wow! The next day I received an email from him with a bill for $10,000. saying I need a new transmission, need new shocks and struts.which I was aware of. list of items and $326 for a oil change.?? I told him I would look into getting a transmission and struts-shocks from the Porsche Dismantler this car is 20 years old and new parts was not a smart way to use my money he agreed. I found a trip Tronic transmission and struts-shocks from two different Porsche Dismantlers saving me thousands of dollars. His attitude changed once I told him I found these parts. Now he can’t help me and they were codes he can’t clear, I need to take it to a Porsche dealership. I denied service, except for a new battery which he installed. I go to pick up my Car on March 2 he has had my car for 35 work days 50 days total. I start my car and all these dash lights are on. TripTronic emergency run light is flashing red. Check engine light is flashing drive to work shop. Gear light is flashing between gear four and park. Car will not shift out of second gear. I ask *** what are all of these flashing lights he says they were on not true AAA drivers are my witnessesBusiness Response

Hello,This is a new cus***er who brought his 2003 Porsche 911 because he stated the car was sitting for almost a year, battery was dead, needed an oil change, and fluids changed. He stated he was in no hurry to get the car back because he has 3 Porsche's. Car was towed in, upon inspection, it was immediately known that there were several problems with the car. Cus***er voluntarily stated his son applied a jump pack to the opposite terminals. Cus***er was advised of repairs needed 8 days after he towed in vehicle via email (not the 35 days he is stating). We will attach all proof of correspondence via email and text messages. We advised the cus***er that we needed to install a battery to continue our diagnosis in which he approved as well as the check out fee. Upon further diagnostic Autologic ( a third party software tech support) advised us that the vehicle needs to go to the dealership. Cus***er was called with final decision and was told the car was ready to be picked up & he agreed with all findings. The car sat here for a few days due to cus***er wanting to bring another Porsche in that had also been sitting but he changed his mind and said he would wait and schedule for a later time. The cus***er was never charged for an oil change so we are not sure why that was brought up - keep in mind a Porsche is expensive upkeep. To conclude this with further explanation in which the son jump started it backwards: applying power to the system backwards you run the risk of shorting internal modules & computer chips of components that have directional current flow and which in this case caused the transmission module to internally suffer damage for shift control components. Our facility is legally not allowed to encode new transmission modules due to the fact key security coding is located on the trans module and only the dealer has the legal authority to encode key data so that is why we referred him to the dealer. Attached are the screenshots of correspondence, not including the multiple phone calls & the visits to our facility while the car was here. Also, we would like to add a review the cus***er wrote on our yelp page with defamation "I feel ***'s treatment of me from start to finish was disrespectful as a Black man and Navy veteran maybe even *******." We treat everyone the same regardless - and we are stunned to have read this as he was raving about the great mechanic *** was and liked how he explained everything and will be a returning cus***er.Thank you and we are more than happy to answer any other questions.Initial Complaint

To Whom It May Concern,This ****** person has never been a customer of ours - nor have we ever done work for HIM pertaining to this vehicle. Yes, we have worked on a car for a previous owner who paid for the repairs. The previous owner brought the car in specifically to repair ONE PART & ONE PART ONLY due to his own diagnosis he found on google. On March 28th, 2022 at approximately 12:34pm previous owner who we will refer to as "P.S" called in wanting a quote on an oil separator because smoke was coming out the exhaust - he said he wanted a quote because "he looked up online & google said this might be a reason for the smoking". On March 28th, 2022 at 1:16pm we sent the estimate he requested over the phone. He scheduled an appointment to get the work done on March 29th, 2022. Once the car was here, it was inspected for the oil separator - it was clear that the customer did need an oil separator because it was leaking oil (pictures were sent to "P.S" to show the bad part. Once the job was complete - previous owner "P.S" came in & paid for repairs. The old bad part that was taken out of the car to replace was shown to "P.S" & was given to him at time of pick up.We have attached pictures we took of vehicle while it was here being repaired.Again, customer "P.S" paid for repairs. To our knowledge this vehicle was then SOLD TO a second party who then ****** purchased from the second party. This customer "Jeremy" accused us of wrongful doing. HE HAS NEVER STEPPED FOOT IN OUR SHOP NOR HAVE WE RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF PAYMENTS FROM HIM.We would also like to add that ****** was not able to tell us any information on the vehicle. All he had was an invoice # (in which we were able to find in our system belonging to "P.S"). All of our invoices have the customers name & contact information as well as all the information of the vehicle (Year, Make, Model, License Plate, Mileage, Tire Pressures) He couldn't tell us the the year, make, model of the car he was complaining about. He said he didn't have none of that information. He left a bad review about us on google & he had the wrong car listed ... we would like to add that it was not a Volkswagen we worked on pertaining to the invoice # he gave us ... yet he says it was a Volkswagen .... We will post his review below. Please keep in mind the invoice # he provided does not coincide with a Volkswagen. We will NOT upload the invoice in order to protect the identity of the previous owner "P.S" & his vehicle information as well.___________________________________________________________________________________________________________4 days agoNEW BE AWARE the owner of this shop is very unprofessional and rude, I called to talk about a repair that was done incorrectly by this shop and as I was trying to explain the situation to Tom the owner he hung up on me. I immediately called back to see if I had been disconnected and he told me multiple times to “fuck off before calling me derogatory words and hanging up. When i try to call now there is no answer. They charged 800$ for a 400$ repair they did incorrectly and now won’t even talk to me about it. I will be contacting the BBB, consumer affairs as well as the Volkswagen to ensure they do not scam any other customers. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP_________________________________________________________________________________________________Again, ****** has never been a customer of ours nor have we serviced the VW he is complaining about. We have never received any type of payments from this customer. We can provide proof of who paid for the invoice ****** is complaining about & we can confirm it is not him. While on the phone he asked what kind of warranty we would provide himWe advised him that the warranty is not transferable. The warranty only pertains to customer "P.S" who paid for the parts & labor for the invoice in question. You may reach out to us with any other questions. We have provided enough information to prove we are not in the wrong.Thank you.
