My most recent experience with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty has been beyond disappointing. We filed an HVAC system claim on May 9. Since then, we saw 2 contractors. The first saw burn damage and reported back to **** leading to the second contractor being dispatched for a second opinion. After seeing the same damage, the second contractor reported back to ****, Im assuming, with similar information as the first contractor. The second contractor set an appointment to return 2 weeks later to replace our home's air handler on June 12. However, they were unable to do so because the parts order made by **** was missing parts. Days later after speaking to customer service reps and a supervisor, I learned that the contractor also needed to replace the entire system. The supervisor offered to escalate my claim on June 26, offered a service fee reimbursement, and a reimbursement up to $150 for temporary air conditioning. I also spoke to an account executive on June 28 who offered to escalate the claim as well. Since the claim was filed, the only written update provided was a work order agreement received on May 25 to pay for items not covered under the warranty. At no point after that was there was any communication about the status of the returned parts or that additional parts and repairs needed in the homeowner portal. On June 29, we were told the claim was escalated and our second contractor arrived nearly a week later to install a new system. The installation was a success, but we noticed our breaker tripped frequently due to the amount of power. During the installation, I was told that **** forgot to include the missing part with the order the first time, which led to a longer wait. In total, it took 74 days since the claim was filed to finally have the claim closed. The **** website states, our mission is to improve the quality of housing and the experience of home ownership. However, I do not believe this mission was adequately fulfilled.

Poor customer service. No positive customer service. I believe they have more interest and support for the contractors than for the clients. I will be dropping them this month.

************* Home Buyers Warranty custers beware (**** specifically); I am a 20 plus year customer of **** HBW. Four incompetent contractor's were sent to my home on separate occasions assigned by **** regarding my AC not cooling my home properly since April 2023. ******, ******** ****  ********* *** (No show), and ********************** and Cooling. Each of these contractors spent about five minutes examining my AC system and gave a bogus excuse for my system failure and stated that **** doesn't cover my issue. If one of these contractors are assigned to you by ****, decline the offer and hire an out of network contractors. My out of network contractor immediately identity that the fan on my outside unit was spinning backwards. He did a formal diagnostic of the outside unit which was installed by **** many years ago. My contractors clearly stated on his diagnostic that the condenser motor is weak, high head pressure and compressor is falling which requires a replacement. Another **** contractor was assigned after I requested that this would be handled out of network. To my surprise the in network contractors also diagnosed the outside unit needs to be replaced. I get an email from ******** the obnoxious supervisor I have been dealing with stating my claim is denied due to my type of system. I never requested a total system replacement.I only requested that my outside unit be replaced by **** whom installed it improperly in the first place. These companies take kickback money from Home Warranty Companies to tell hard working premium paying customers that problems their experiencing are unrelated home Warranty issue. This scam has gone on long enough. If you have this same issue please review accordingly to hold these contractors accountable. Hopefully this will put an end to hardworking home owners getting ripped off and create some integrity in the industry .

These companies are scam, they take your money. They charge you so much and it keep charging you for parade. You submitted took them 5 months to repair it. And after they repaired it, still is doing the same problem. So I called them back to recent the repair man and say wanna charge me. Another deductible for the same issue after 1 day of repair their garbage. I would never ever get into warranty for any of my house rather pay cash.

I would NEVER recommend 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. My HVAC went out in the middle of summer, and they connected me with a contractor that does not even travel to my city. Then multiple employees said we could find our own contractor and they would reimburse us $300. This ended up being a lie because they sent us $200. They said $100 was taken out due to the service fee. I will be canceling my membership.

Id give it 0 if I could. Our ac has been out for 5 weeks now. Theyve sent 2 companies to check out our ac and find an issue. They have zero issues other then the system isnt working due to its age and is not doing the job to cool. They are recommending replacement and **** has yet to give us a new unit. Theyve escalated the ticket and nothing has happened over the past week. We are on week 6 of no a/c in *******. Its over 100 degrees and this company refuses to replace our a/c. Or even communicate with us as to what is going on. This is a safety issue at this point. Our house is over 88 degrees constantly throughout the night even. This is completely unsafe.

Nightmare with **** Home Warranty: Fix My AC Now!When I first signed up for **** Home Warranty, it was my first home in April 2020. During that time, **** gave me great service and peace of mind. It was this satisfaction that I used to continue service with **** in my 2nd home. However, with what began as a seemingly straightforward process quickly spiraled into a maddening maze of bureaucratic incompetence. In May 2023, my central air system broke down, plunging me into a scorching nightmare, courtesy of **** Home Warranty's abysmal service. Despite numerous calls for resolution, my frustrations mount with each hot day. Promised swift 48 hour action turned into a maddening runaround, leaving me feeling defeated. Even after a technician's visit, the wait for parts feels endless; not to mention being overcharged for the service call! This article is my plea for **** Home Warranty to fix or replace my AC promptly, respecting my rights as a long standing paying customer. Their negligence has made this summer unbearable, and it's time for them to take responsibility and bring relief to my sweltering home.*** spent countless hours with their customer service; currently working with my 3rd contractor assigned by ****. My patience has been stretched to the limit, and yet, there is still no real relief in sight. As I write, it is *********************************************** a state of disrepair. I write this article not only to vent my feelings but also to appeal to **** Home Warranty to finally step up and do what's right by a long standing customer. My best resolution is simple I implore **** Home Warranty to expedite the repair of my central air conditioning system or authorize replacement. It is my right as a paying customer, and within my contractual agreement, to receive the services I have diligently paid for. The prolonged wait, empty promises, and lack of accountability have left me feeling disheartened and disrespected.********************* | #********

Placed a call on 7/8 for a hot water heater that was leaking from the top and the pressure valve. Fortunately for me, my realtor had a contact on the sales team, so I was able to reach someone on Sat 7/8. She was able to escalate my claim to out of network so I could use my own contractor. I was without hot water for 48 hours and I was able to find a company to replace my hot water heater for $1,300 on Monday 7/10. I submitted the diagnostic and quote for a new heater. I also had them replace the hot water heater and sent them the invoice for it. Fast forward to Monday 7/17, I received a call that because I didn't have the proper authorization, **** is going to reimbursement $200 for my repair, as that was the limit to what they pre-authorize. Really poor communication, they lack timeliness in responding and I am left to believe that they hoped that the repairs would be complete before the "proper authorization" so they could deny my claim. **** was included in my home sale, but I wish we could have used American Home Shield. They have been exceptional to work with in the past... Will not be renewing my warranty with ****. That's for certain!!!
