She irreversibly ruined my wedding dress. This lady was recommended to me by Vow'd, where I got my dress. Not only did she argue with me through the entire fitting appointment, including refusing to take in the straps on my dress (they were over an inch too long, causing the waist of the dress to sit uncomfortably on my hips), but she ended up completely missing the fact that the built-in cups were white and very visible on the outside and also ended up charging me 3 times what several of the other tailors in the area quoted me (after the fact, unfortunately) and never bothered to contact me when the work was done. During the appointment, I wore a special pair of heels I'd been saving for my wedding, and she was supposed to cut the train off, hem the dress all the way around so that it was just above the floor (with my heels on), take in the cups so that the bust was smooth, and take in the straps, the latter of which she refused to do as mentioned. I also asked her to take a special metal belt onto the front (one of those renaissance-style ones with the piece that hangs in the front). I got it back and the cups were taken in, but they were all bunched up and the sides of the dress were no longer a smooth curve but a sharp angle, which looked stupid. In addition, the bottom hem was extremely crooked and over an inch too high, sitting anywhere from one inch to two inches above the ground (worse on one side in particular) when I wore those same shoes. In addition, the belt wasn't even centered because she sewed it on starting on one side, so it wasn't centered at all and the other side was sagging down horribly. Plus, the dress came back with a snag in the delicate fabric, front and center in the middle of the skirt.I had also brought her 3 brand new work blazers and asked her to take in the bust on the jackets. I got them back and the bust wasn't taken in on the jackets at all - instead, she took in the waist on the jackets, and now NONE of them fit.
