I had Jay Ketchum of LAC rebuild the engine on my 1966 Buick Special. With in the warranty period of 3 yr. 30K miles my engine developed low oil PSI. Jay told me he would stand behind his work and warranty. Here we are after repair. My engine was not blue printed of set to the machine shop by LAC. The low oil PSI was caused by cam bearing that were out of spec, and not changed by LAC during the engine rebuild. Now Jay ducks my phone calls and will not return my text. He has set up a couple of phone appts with me through text to talk about this, but he never calls. I have left reviews wherever I can and filed a complaint with the BBB. I also have a TEAMS appt set up with Ft Carson JAG to have his shop put on the off limits list. If you are reading this and considering LAC to work on your car, I would think twice if he did this to me he will do it to you.

On mother's day, I purchased my daughter a car as a graduation present plus I was also proud of her acceptance into *** University in ******. When the car was delivered it did not start we jumped the car it made a loud noise once it would start. I had it towed to a local shop here in Pueblo. That was the first time I was informed the 2014 Jetta Hybrid needed an engine. I did not have the repairs done at this location because the engine they found had over a hundred thousand miles. I wanted one with less. I could not find a shop that repaired the hybrid. Therefore, I had the car towed to ******* Motor *************************. I had a new battery put in a diagnostic test done on 6/11/22. I was told the vehicle needed an engine and transmission everything else was fine with the car. I had the car towed back to Pueblo. I found a listing on Craiglist for foreign auto repair grand opening special in Pueblo Legend Auto Care. I talked to the owner **************** told him about the car, he stated it may only be the engine dealerships make money by adding cost. I told him if the car need both transmission and an engine to let me know. I would sell the car. I had the car towed to his shop in June. I was required to pay for the engine up front on 6/30/22 I paid *****. I was informed it would take 30 hours for repair and two weeks for the engine to arrive. I informed Mr. * that we needed the car by JULY so my daughter could practice driving before leaving for college and my knee surgery in August. We are now at the end of September with no car, on 9/14/22 I received a refund from Legend Auto in the amount of ****** and a falsified text about the repairs which I still have. They told me the car could not be repaired because the damage was internal but he would buy the car from me or have it towed to my house. I am still out of money and humiliated which has caused emotional distress. They will say I was disrespectful they took advantage of me and my circumstances.
