    I purchased a brand new $8000.00 dollar generator from Colorado Standby in Sept. 2022 that would start but immediately shut down account of a fault. When I contaced them, they said it would take at least 3 months to come check on it. This generator came with a 5 year warranty, 2 year all parts, travel time, and labor. The service manager said I would have to agree to give them my credit card # and charge me almost $1,000.00 before they could give me an estimated time when they could actually come. At the direction of the manufacturer, I contacted an authorized dealer that was farther away but within 2 days, they sent a repairman who got the generator running under the warranty of the generator that I did not even purchase from them. This was in Jan. 2023, 4 months after I purchased it. The minute I walked out the door, I feel Colorado Standby was done with me. Be careful and get things in writting if you do business with this company!
