    I sent a package to my son and paid the fee for it. They did not bother to put a label on it so when my son received it on his end he had to go to the post office to pick it up AND he had to pay the fee for it which I already paid. I called the store today to complain and the woman who runs the place was so rude. She interrupted me the entire conversation and was on the defense from the start. I couldn't get a word out without yelling over her. She said it was just a mistake and blamed it on the carrier but I have read dozens of complaints just like mine from other customers she has done this to. Its impossible to get in touch with a manager or owner so you're at the mercy of this one woman. What's even more maddening is that every time I've gone into this location, this woman has been on her cell phone messing around. She'll put it down long enough to "help" the customer but then goes right back to her cell phone. It's no wonder labels aren't getting put on boxes. She's too busy playing on her phone! Then she blames it on the mail carriers. There are TONS of these types of reviews being left about this very thing. This place is shady and SO unprofessional. They need to be put out of business! Since there's not much else I can do and not much hope of a refund, I will make sure to spread the word in hopes that people won't use this location.

    I paid to mail a small package. The very "stiff" woman behind the counter took my money and gave me a receipt, but never put a sticker on package showing that I paid. The addressee at the other end had to pick the package up at her post office and pay again, as now postage was due.I took my receipt and a picture of the package as it was when received on the other end, showing no postage paid label, back to Carefree postage. Stiff woman couldn't help me, but was **** and rude. No "I sm so sorry that happened". It was her fault this happened, not mine, so go figure. She called the owner who insisted she had to do an investigation. She didn't apologize either and was hostile and rude.I gave her the name of the post office where the package was received, and the name of the person who did pay. It's a small town and the workers know the person who paid, again, for this mail.3 business days later and there is no contact from the owner. My next step will be the post master, than whoever is above them. This is unacceptable one every level.
