      Do not use there tele health service, it is a waste of time. A person knows when they are sick. If I could have went to urgent care I would have but I was traveling and trying to avoid spreading infections and was told to use over the counter medicine, which I already tried. Waste of time and money

      Had a sleep study done and recived a cpap due to severity of my sleep ampnea. They said they would cover there cost and later denied all coverage for it and made me come out of pocket to cover all cost causing me to pay thousands of dollars.

      The worst customer ********************** Ive ever experienced. Called to remove autopay and was told it would not come out of my bank. Payment was deducted anyway. Called back and did this again and asked for a credit for the payment taken in error. Again, they removed autopay and said they issued a credit for the payment taken in error. After the 2-3 business days, and still no credit back, I had to call again to find out whats going on. I was informed the autopay was never removed and no credit had been issued yet. I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold for 40 minutes. No manager was available. I filed a complaint. This company should be ashamed with this level of incompetence and horrible customer **********************. Unbelievable.

      Flashback to fall 2023. I got a flu shot at my usual location a King ********* Assumed Anthem would cover it as it always had in the past. I got a bill. Anthem said it was out of network. Long story short, I ended up paying ******* forward one year fall of 2024 -- I was determined not to let the same thing happen. I went on Anthem's website and linked to a flu shot provider through Anthem's website. One would assume those providers would be in network, right?Wrong. I have spent hours on the phone with Anthem. They have repeatedly said the shot was out of network, even though I booked the appointment through a link on Anthem's website.Each time I call, I secure a commitment to get back to me. It doesn't happen. Each time, I get another nasty note from the provider saying the claim was denied by Anthem. Most recently was this week. I've had it. Yesterday, I called and tried to politely -- once again explain the situation to the representative I had on the phone. I asked to speak to someone senior. No go. I told him I needed to hear back by the end of the day. Otherwise, I was going to post on social media, reach out to BBB, contact the ******************* and reach out to friends in the press. No one got back to me by the end of the day, so I moved forward. Today I finally got a voice message from someone there saying they had no progress to report.Anthem is a bad actor. It either deceptively links to providers on its website that are out of network or it fails to live up to its obligations to its customers.

      Terrible insurance. I have had them for about 7 years.. never had any medical bills past the occasional urgent care when sick. Paid a ton in premiums. Then I hurt my back and the one time I go to a doctor and the doctor requests an MRI... BCBS denies it as "not medically necessary". What a scam. These criminals should be in prison. They are stealing from us and then dictating what care you need from some office. Ridiculous. *** this company.

      Anthem is the worst health insurance that I've ever had. They will dictate your care and go against your doctor's recommendations. I have had a terrible time with them for the last year and a half. The appeals process is a joke and you can never get a decision overturned. They used to be a well respected insurer. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

      Had an *** on my back at hospital. The hospital went to Anthem and got my co-pay at $90. I just got an additional bill for $105.00 called hospital told me that, that is what Anthem did mot pay. Now I know hospital and will try to bill you for the difference in what they charge and what I durance will pay even though they have a contract; as I said the hospital said $90 in the beginning and mow additional $105. Here is the deal they told me that they would do the *** unless I paid my co-pay first. I called Anthem and they said is now $195.00 co-pay then why did they tell them $90. Obviously someone is not being truthful, but let's be real we are talking about medical billing companies and Insurance companies, neither one can really be trusted. Sk buyer beware don't trust what someone on the phone tells you; check your insurance book for that year. Oh and neither had any compassion for taking advantage of the elderly; although my mind has not gone yet.This probably is not new to you but hope it helps. Disgruntled member

      Awful customer ********************** Telephone responses are the same script every time Chat Mode is useless Very difficult to find ************ MD Do not have up to date lists of providers .Web site does not work .If you have any other options pay the extra Anthem is terrible

      I have made countless phone calls due to coding errors & issues with their system for locating in-network providers, as many are no longer categorized correctly. This situation adds significant ****************** to my existing medical challenges while I try to secure ************************ Unfortunately, I have yet to encounter a single customer support representative who can assist me or has any real understanding of the issues at hand. Instead, Ive received nonsensical ************ doctors office is listed as in-network, & all the doctors there are included. However, seeing a Physician Assistant (**) is considered out-of-network, resulting in a bill of over $1,500. I was informed that going forward, I must see an actual doctor for the visit to be covered. I have never heard anything so absurd!They used to provide a comprehensive list of facilities for ********* scans, but their online system currently shows none. Instead, they direct me to oncologists & other specialists, but never to an actual facility that offers scans. When I called, I was told there are no facilities available in my area. I was advised to go to a hospital, implying that the solution is to visit the *** However, when I needed an ER, I found hospitals previously listed as in-network are now missing, replaced by nursing & care facilities. This left me without access. I went in for emergency care & am facing a substantial bill, so I did not pursue extensive testing.When I signed up for this plan, I confirmed that all my doctors were in-network & that I would have access to the necessary hospital systems. Now, most of my doctors are unavailable, & it seems that none of the hospitals are either, leaving me without reliable healthcare, which was misrepresented at the time of enrollment.I have continued to search for knowledgeable agents, but there seem to be none available. Additionally, there never appears to be a supervisor on hand. Good luck trying to get help or healthcare!

      0 stars so far, however, that is not an option. Insurance changed to Anthem Jan 1st. The absolute worst customer care I have experienced so far. They assigned me to a medical group that no longer exists for them (i.e. Scripps) and also to a doctor within that network. I get it, the contract with ******* ended Jan 1st. So, I have called 8x now. Each time it is the same exact conversation almost word for word. So again today, they will call me back with an update on the care that I need. I will not hold my breath as this is exactly what they say each time. I will note the call and call again tomorrow. This company is absolutely insane.
