1 starHonestly, I have had no issues with the doctors. They have been absolutely wonderful. However, the communication side of Kaiser with the marketplace exchange is absolutely atrocious. I have had to call the exchange 8 times since my son was born just trying to ensure our coverage is accurate on Kaisers end. They have enrolled my family in multiple policies at once, enrolled us in separate policies from each other, and even enrolled us in a catastrophic policy when were paying for higher coverage. Its absolutely asinine to me that this company cant seem to get it right. Its very unfortunate, as I said earlier the doctors, especially the pediatrician in Colorado Springs, had been incredible.Review fromJohn T

1 starKaiser just booked a colonoscopy for my sister NINE MONTHS OUT. They're blaming the long wait times on Covid. That's BULL. I had a friend who got a colonoscopy and they discovered a huge colon tumor. They told him had he waited to get his colonoscopy, he would have died. Kaiser ONLY CARES ABOUT THEIR BOTTOM LINE. In addition to this, I believe Kaiser is having financial issues too. Be smart! Do not buy Kaiser health insurance. I guarantee you will regret it.Review fromCeleste B

2 starsI interact with Kaiser a lot, I have Crohns disease. I will say first that I have enjoyed my doctor and the general quality of treatment at their GI center. My issues with Kaiser are really more with the general business structure, and the fact that all health insurance in this country is run for profit and kaiser does nothing to try and dispel those notions. They firmly treat you like a money bag to keep squeezing, and because they are more concerned with profit than helping people, its extremely difficult to get quick help, especially on Sundays. I have a bacterial infection today and its very cut and dry strep, I just want to pick up some medicine. It took me a long time just to get on the phone with someone and then was told that my over the phone diagnosis was not enough for a prescription and the only way to get that was an in person meeting, which again is not available anywhere on Sunday. I can pay out of pocket somewhere else they said. So now Ill take another day off work since Im still contagious. I guess just dont get an infection on Sunday, cause this place is run like a business, not a healthcare service, so they apparently cant staff their locations on Sundays like a hospital would. I love living in this dystopian country pretending to be a first world country. No one ever tell me about the wait to see your doctor in other countries. Thats exactly what we have to do here, we just pay an arm and a leg first. Every time I interact with the healthcare system in this country I want to emigrate. This place is a jokeReview fromL. B.

Poor record keeping, doctors lie to your face then write something totally different in your file up to 3 months later. Doctors don't review dictations for accuracy. You get passed around, they'll only treat one issue at a time unless you threaten to ***. Can only get one steriod injection for spinal stenosis even though you have 3 places needing treatment whereas, if you go outside Kaiser and pay cash you can get 3 steriod injections every 90 days w/o hoops to jump through. You are told to live with your issue when clearly you are physically and mentally going downhill. They wear you down for big profits. They will give you a vaccine when you are severely ill prior to seeing the doctor. This led to my wife's heart failure. Now has a heart device keeping her alive. Takes 3 months to get mental health assistance then you are referred to outside Kaiser and facilitated to look for how to deal with your issues online. Kaiser doctors get bonuses, tracks metrics for how many people they get off opioids while secretly telling patients to use Cannabis, then drug test you if you are still on low dose of opioid. If drug test comes back positive because you took cannabis after running out of meds in 2 weeks, they put in your record that you have a substance abuse issue, even though Dr. ********* recommended cannabis to use when you run out of pain meds. They will not write workplace accomodations when there isn't a surgery involved. For instance my arthritis is so severe I can't sit more than 30 minutes. They won't prescribe medical devices to assist in mobility unless you are completely paralyzed or had a surgery. They don't do functional capacity testing to see if the MRI's showing clear degenerative disease process progressing are impacting your function to work. No case manager for complex issues. "Thrive" ad is really for executives not patients - false advertising.Kaiser Permanente of Colorado

I gave the grievance department specifics of issues of me not getting care to "thrive". When the guy called I was a day out of shoulder surgery and he agreed to work with me going forward. I called to follow up on issues 3 times and *************************** has yet to return my calls. I am having complications after shoulder surgery with my neck, and asked for treatment. I was denied treatment, additional PT appointments cancelled. I am severely depressed and anxious because I can't get adequate care to return to work full-time, to help with accommodations, and medical records aren't documented well for me to hire someone outside of Kaiser to help with accommodations. Yesterday I had a meltdown with physical therapist when he lied about why I couldn't get additional care. I asked for supervisor. Supervisor called and he discussed sending me outside of Kaiser to get comprehensive PT care. I was told to wait 2 weeks for the referral to go through but I may have to follow-up because this is something new Kaiser is doing. I am interviewing attorneys now with intentions of a class action lawsuit for deceptive advertising and deceptive and neglectful business practices. I've gotten the run around for 8 years now, getting all kinds of excuses from staffing, the pandemic, and "we must follow ******** guidelines" ( I am not on ********), and ObamaCare creating too big of an influx of new patients, YET they still advertise for new members even though they know their business is struggling providing the adequate care for people to THRIVE.Review fromMargaret A

2 starsI used to be so happy with Kaiser and recommended them to others. Those days are, sadly, long gone. I am way beyond disappointed with the ******************** and the ******************************** I literally got FIVE different answers to my question as to cost and my coverage for a specific eye treatment. Still not sure which is correct. I actually filed a complaint for all of this headache, and was called by someone I couldn't even understand who only gave me a SIXTH answer as to price and coverage. No apology, nothing. I called an *** Care nurse, who told me if I came into the *************** I could be triaged on the spot, no appointment necessary. I went the next day, which is a long way from home, only to be turned away and told there is no such service available for me. No sorry, nothing. They finally suggested I go out of Kaiser to be treated, so I did, to the tune of $190!Behavioral Services has a very rude person answering the phone and setting appointments. Of all the places to kind and nice, you would think it would be there. No!! He failed to ask the proper questions to get me seen where I wanted to be seen. Thank God I called back and got a lovely young lady who did know what to ask and how to be a kind human being. ********** told me my OBGYN probably no longer worked at Kaiser when I called to schedule my exam. Turns out she was simply out for a short time. They were clueless, and to assume that is awful! They suggested I pick another doctor! I love my OBG and have seen her for years! Once again, I called back and got a person with a clue who scheduled me right away.Often their schedulers, working from home, have me on speaker, asking for my personal information, dogs barking and kids in the background. Also called for a phone appointment recently, told there was a co-pay. Called back and was told there is absolutely no co-pay!!I used to call Kaiser a well oiled machine. Now it is a broken old jalopy in my opinion.Review fromHelen H.

1 starIf you have another option, pick another option. Kaiser uses their model of only allowing people to get care AT Kaiser to provide the worst customer service. Their website is consistently broken to the point where you literally can't schedule a simple appointment. Most appointments you go to are rushed and surface-level. I made an appointment for psychiatry (because I was having a mental health issue that needed attention) and was booked more than a month in advance. Then, the *** before my appointment they called and canceled and couldn't see me for ANOTHER month.Review fromCHRISTOPHER H

3 starsWhat laws are they breaking?I keep telling Kaiser Permanente to stop using my email and they continue sending me emails. They send me emails tell me I have an upcoming appointment which is personal information. Send me emails asking me to fill out a survey about a past appointment past appointment is personal information. They send me emails telling me that my lab results are in lab results is personal information that I even had a lab work done. They don't have my permission to use my email and keep sending me personal information on our email what laws are they breaking?Review fromBart G.

1 starWorst healthcare ever, classist, sexist, ageist. Must be a red flag on self paying charts, because every person i talked to treated me like i was poor, ignoranr, didnt know what's best for me, and needed financial counseling if I complained. i make six figures a year and am a ******* ************** trained healthcare professional myself, so I know that leaving me out of the decision making about my health is unethical care The doctors only listen to each other and half the time don't talk to or see patients before determining what will be done. They charged me for every expensuve test they could give, but i can"t get anyone to look at injuries for which there are no tests. Kaiser endangers your health and wellbeing.
