Ive used PIA for my VPN for several years now. I was renewed for 2 years of service on 10/21/24. On 01/19/25 I inadvertently subscribed to their dedicated VPN. I went to customer support to cancel and request a refund same day. They processed this refund. However, in that process they cancelled my entire service. They will not undo this nor give me a refund. They are saying they have no record of my service renewal or payment. I have proof of payment through my bank and **********. Which I sent to them. They will only accept and invoice from them, which I do not have. And they said they cant provide me with one. I find it extremely hard to believe a company can take money from me and have no record of this. They wont reinstate my account or give me a refund.Initial Complaint

For over a week, my Private Internet Access (PIA) has been down and I also cannot log into the website. I have sent no less than 20 communications with no assistance given. The company wouldn't even text or call me to sort this out. I have spent hours trying to resolve this issue with a company that has absolutely abysmal customer service. I am requesting that the company finally address my problems and generously reimburse me for my aggravation.Initial Complaint

Back in March 2023, I obtained a month-long subscription with Private Internet Access. I was charged $12.74. After roughly 2 weeks, I cancelled the subscription and thought that was the end of it.Boy was I wrong. They have continued to charge me $12.74/mo like clockwork. They no longer respond to my emails, but before they ceased contact, they asked me for my full name, full address, date of birth, last 4 of my social, and even my card number. After providing the information, I was told by 2 different representatives that they could not locate the account. After escalating the case, I was told that the account was located, but had been inactive. Then, they naturally offered to reactivate the account in exchange for "free months of service" and when I responded forcefully that all I wanted was for them stop charging the card on an account they themselves told me was inactive, they ceased responding to all emails.Months later, I have received no response, and they still continue to charge the card. This is clear and obvious fraud. I am seeking immediate cessation of card charges. Lose my account, delete the payment method. Never charge my card again, and return the 9 payments you've taken from me without permission, authority, or merit.Initial Complaint

Absolutely impossible to cancel subscription. You must call their customer service and if you are able to connect with someone and tell them you want to cancel and remove your payment method -- they will tell you they completed it -- but then 2 years later you will find charges on your credit card again from them. Every time you dispute the charge and get a statement credit, they will charge you again. ie: Cancelled my subscription in 2021; charged $120.00 3/31/2023 (disputed & issued refund); charged $69.99 6/30/2023Initial Complaint

I signed up for *** services on 9/01/2023. The service only worked for a month. Anytime I wanted to access the *** I was unable to log into websites and those that I did logon to would simply buffer unendingly. Any attempt to contact them has been futile. They are truly scammers and will also be reported to the **** I want my money returned since Ive not had service, but mostly I want this service cancelled and to be done with these grifters once and for all.Initial Complaint

I purchased a two year contract for a VPN, SERVICE, for my laptop, it was activated and worked for a month and then it didn't, I have tried a dozen times to contact customer service, but get a message that there not online, but they have a website up trying to get new customers, I feel I have been scammed, and now they have my credit card information, something is seriously wrong with this website, and it really needs to be investigated. my laptop has been hacked as well, I cant get the details on my account that was set up on there website the last 4 digits of the credit card that I used. so if my money was to get refunded, the receipt number is YPSVEZE, I need to talk to this person, but they have no ph0ne number listed, how do they get away this? they should be put out of business.Initial Complaint

During some time now this Company continues charging me for a service that is not working. At one point it did. After problems I had reported to them in several occasions, not answer-back then. I contacted ************ they denied my claim, even thought the have seem the charges into my account ****. I have to buy Nortons 360, which works excellent. I am a Disabled Veteran 60% going to 100% for my medical troubles. It has been a very difficult issue to be resolve.
