      I have been trying to get internet service from Century Link in ******, ** for the last two weeks without success. I have spoken to three people on the phone, six or so chat sessions, and I have had three appointments, all of which have been cancelled internally by this company. I strongly recommend anyone who has any other choice in internet services to use someone else. The treatment they have given me is criminal as far as I am concerned. I am not sure how you can even legally run a business in this manner. Worst customer support and worst experience I have ever had in my entire life.

      I wish I could give zero starts, but they require to give you at least 1 to write a review. Absolutely terrible company! Their customer service is absolutely horrible as well! They charged me $500.00 to bury a new line in my yard that was only needed because lightening and water damage ruined something in their box. When I asked the technician when they came to my house if it was going to cost anything he told me "No". Over a month later I was charged. They said I "signed a contract" saying I was okay with the charges and that he could see my signature. I told him if they mentioned that it would've cost me any money I would've buried the cable myself! I also asked them to send me the "contract I signed" in an email and they have yet to send it to me. When I called a previous time another tech said they don't have signature contracts. I want my $500.00 refunded back to me, not credited. Such an awful company with horrible service and they are out right rude and a bunch of liars! I'm still in the process of fighting to get my money back. The supervisors are worse than the normal call center too. I've never been done so dirty by this company and I've been with them for over 7 years.

      The worst customer support experience I have ever had. They lied about charging me for transferring my service, and trying to get ahold of anyone is like an Olympic sport. If you need anything, get ready to have to try multiple times and wait on hold for an hour, as well as changing representatives randomly during the chat. They do not care about their customers and they will not care to help you when they mess up.

      Our internet has been down for 2 weeks now. Centurylink continues to give new repair deadlines and has missed every single one. It's **** near impossible to speak to anyone and I'm continually being transferred to a new person who can't help me with canceling my service. The online chat people refuse to let me cancel my service and they keep telling me to just "wait until the the repairs are done". I have never had such awful customer service from any other company. When I go on my online account, it does not allow me to cancel, it only gives me a phone number to call. I am astounded that they treat customers like this and make it impossible to speak to anyone that can help with my account.

      We have not had phone service for a week and have stayed home 2 full days waiting for a service tech. Even had texts sent to us that they would be here in a half an hour 2 days ago. Cannot get anyone on the line to help. There is no repair ticket on our phone. How do you handle dealing with this company??

      Our house phone connected to Century Link landlines quick working from Dec 1 thru Dec and still not working properly. After repeated and lengthy phone conversations with Century Link repair personnel, repair technicians were assigned then reassigned and no one showed show up during first three weeks of Dec, while we wasted time waiting for them. On Dec 25 we were promised repair on Dec 27. This technician, *****, did show up and did contact us repeatedly on his progress. He indicated that the distribution point needed new batteries which they did not have nor on order. So, again we are without reliable phone use in January, the phone does not ring even though our family members have been trying to reach us. This lack of service and timely repair is totally unacceptable and should be investigated by the *** or state authorities.

      Avoid Centurylink. After being loyal customers for over 15 years, we attempted to "upgrade" our internet service--and five weeks later--we are still trying to get the company to do what they agreed to do--but haven't. We have made numerous complaints both on-line, through their "virtual agents" and speaking directly to someone. CL was supposed to show up today and install the upgrade correctly--but being suspicious and not wanting to waste anymore time, I called and the company said that they would not be out today, CL has repeatedly promised to show up and even confirmed our appointment---but then don't show up. They have also showed up when they told us that they wouldn't show up--and seem to think that that too is all our fault. Stay away from this company if at all possible. They could have easily done the job correctly and installed the router where they have installed every other router--but there is something incredibly screwed up with this company--and you don't deserve the frustration and they don't deserve your money.
