In August 2022, BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado investigated Zora Maine Coon Home business practices. This investigation was prompted by a complaint and consumer inquiries.
Consumer has alleged the following through a BBB complaint:
I paid $600 for a kitten on this website and sent the payment via Zelle from Wells Fargo, my bank. I then received a bill of sale from this site expecting the kitten to be shipped to me. Once the payment was sent, they stopped responding to my many texts, emails and calls. A friend went to their website and requested the same kitten that I paid for and was told he was available. She offered to drive there to pick up the kitten and never heard from them again. They are scammers and scammed me out of $600!
In August 2022, BBB checked the website https://zoramainecoonkittens.com to determine when it was created. The website was created on April 18, 2022.
In August 2022, Postal mail sent by BBB to the business at a residential address in Durango, Co was returned marked by USPS as not deliverable as addressed. BBB is unable to verify the true location of this business.
BBB made inquiries to Zora Maine Coon Home via email asking the following:
- If they have any additional locations in Texas or elsewhere, and to provide their contact information.
- Copies of Zora Maine Coon Home’s documentation and disclosures provided to consumers such as health guarantee, contracts, warranties, and invoices.
- What pet carriers they use.
- Explanation of their refund policy for undelivered orders, including the time period they allow for orders to be delivered to the consumer.
To date, BBB has not received a response from Zora Maine Coon Home.
