    This provider is in breach of contract. My homeowners association contracted with Black Diamond to provide snow plowing and walkway clearing services from November 1 through April 30th. The walkway clearing services were not being conducted properly which led to over three inches of compacted ices accumulation and an additional six inches of snow accumulation. Part of the contract stated that they would put salt and cinder down to as needed to clear ice accumulation. I texted the company representative on Friday, February 17th stating the walkways had gotten bad and we need to discuss how to correct the issue. I also left a voicemail. There was no return call nor a return text.

    On Sunday, February 19th, I used salt to soften the ice and snow to then shovel and clear the walkways myself. On Monday, February 20th, I received a bill for walkway clearing crews that the company dispatched to our location earlier in the day. I had already cleared the walk ways the day before and had not approved of a special call out and we had never communicated after the text and call on Friday.

    I texted and called the company again to discuss the bill. No response. They sent the bill again on March 14th. I responded to the email requesting to speak with someone about the bill and to give me a call. The owner, Mariella, responded to me with pictures and said to talk to Todd. I called and emailed Todd with no response. Mariella and I exchanged multiple heated emails where they continued to claim we called them out, when no such request was done. She claimed in the emails the bill was over 30 days late and we were in violation and they will cease services. The 30 day mark on the false bill is March 22nd.

    They are now refusing to complete their contract and forcing us to hire another company for the remainder of the snow season. We would like a refund of all walkways clearing fees for the season and the amount we have to pay another company to complete the season.
