A brilliant job! We are so pleased on how our basement turned out. ***** ******* ***** and his team paid attention to every detail and communicated with us before, during and after every part of the project to make sure it was what we wanted in a very timely manner. They had designated reliable professionals for every aspect, including flooring, electrical, tv, design, mounting and plumbing. I would work with ***** and his team again!!!!One expectation to keep in mind is that I always had to be ready to answer their texts and calls to keep the ball rolling on the project, even if it was first thing in the morning!Thank you for all your hard work!!

We highly recommend Elkstone Basements . We love our new living space. Elkstone exceeded our expectations and finished in the timeframe promised. Elkstone turned our dark cold basement into a beautiful inviting family gathering spot. Our project manager ***** was excellent and stayed on top of our project and kept us informed from start to finish. All of the sub contractors were easy to work with and provided quality finishes. 5 starsI had a wonderful experience finishing my basement with Elkstone! My basement remodel was ~430 sq feet and took 6 weeks.***** (designer / salesman) and ***** (project manager) were both a delight to work with. They were professional, knowledgeable, and offered seamless communication throughout the entire project. Elkstone keeps everything very organized through their online portal which has your construction schedule, items to purchase and when they are needed (e.g. bathroom tile, vanity, etc.), and other informational resources. The portal is also the central place for change orders throughout the project. Every change you decide to make is done in writing, confirmed by your signature, so that everyone (homeowner, project manager, and sub-contractors) is on the same page.I also want to highlight that the price they quoted upfront was representative of the actual cost. They give you a base contract price, plus variable costs which are contingencies or potential upgrades you can choose to make. I chose a few upgrades which increased my variable costs but I am very happy with those decisions. The estimated timeline was spot-on as well. We had a minor delay with the city inspection schedule, but Elkstone was able to make up the time and the project was completed right on time.Review fromMichael E

I can say this basement finish was without it's bumps in the road, but that is construction and Elkstone worked through them keeping the project on schedule. I just finished a basement remodel with Elkstone. They finished a bathroom, bedroom and family room. The quality of workmanship was excellent they did this in 6 weeks and met every date that they had promised. I could not be happier and i will recommend to neighbors and friends.ElkStone, Inc.

5 starsAfter receiving quotes from four other basement finishing companies, we awarded the work to Elkstone Basements to finish our approximately 500-foot unfinished basement. If you dont want to read further than this paragraph, the quality of work, people, and end results exceeded our expectations from start to finish. From the initial design phase to the final touches, Elkstone was professional, demonstrated their expertise in basement finishes, and were always committed to ensuring we were 110% satisfied.It's important to note that Elkstone was not the cheapest contractor, but regardless of completing hundreds of projects annually, they made it seem that our project was at the top of their list even though this project was small compared to others. From Sales to the Project Manager, everyone was incredible.Being a Project Manager household, we loved the Elkstone Project Dashboard for visibility over the project timeline, cost, and all documents. There was never any second guessing on who was going to be onsite that day or any surprise costs. Every document throughout the entire project was housed there. All change orders (transactional or not) were done through the dashboard and made every step very clear. Some materials are selected by the homeowner (shower trim, vanity, towel bar, tile, etc.) and we knew exactly what was needed by us and when because of the dashboard. All of the subs were friendly, professional, and did quality work. In the few instances there was a mistake, it was corrected quickly. Throughout the entire project, Elkstone never made us feel guilty about a change or getting even the smallest imperfection corrected. They were extremely flexible with our schedule throughout the holidays and unforeseen personal issues that impacted the timeline. If I had another basement that needed finishing, Id bypass gathering quotes and go directly with Elkstone. I highly recommend them for any work and we are extremely happy with our new space.Review fromNicole G

1 starThis company is not trustworthy, the project manager is worthless, nothing is transparent, they make excuse after excuse for their countless mistakes, the work is not well done and they are extremely greedy, sloppy and needed babysitting the entire project. Our project was a complete nightmare. They ask for referrals at the completion of the project and pay the clients 1% of the jobs they refer out. 5 starsWe recently got our large (**** SF) basement completely finished by Elkstone and we could not be happier! The entire process was smooth and seamless, from the initial consultation with *******************, to the final walk-through with *****************************. All of the contractors they had come through were courteous, and had great attention to detail. With any construction project you have to set realistic expectations for there to be slight delays due to a product unavailability, contractor injury, or unexpected issue, but the number of times this happened on the project were so minimal that I was not bothered at all! The overall project is gorgeous, and it created a space down there that we can not only enjoy for the next **** years, but that will add huge value to the home when it's time for us to sell it!
