We do not recommend Central Trim. Their craftsmanship and customer service are terrible. We ordered an expensive pre-hung solid wood door and sidelight with stained glass. They gave a delivery date of 10 weeks. They notified us 12 weeks later that the door was built incorrectly and they needed 8 more weeks. They finally delivered the door but with incorrect glass and took it back for 1 week. They incorrectly installed the jamb that divides the door and sidelight with a warp in it where the top and bottom gaps are even but the middle is doubled in size. No amount of shimming will correct it and it is very ugly. I personally confirmed with a digital level and a tape measure that the contractor installed the frame plumb, level, square with even gaps and that the issue is from Central Trim's work. They used very sloppy nailing. Instead of evenly spacing nails, they nailed randomly with some pairs of nails in line and most offset/diagonal. Because the door is stained, these uneven nail holes show even with stained filler matching the color.Central Trim left deep pencil grooves in the frame and put deep dents and splits in the wood. The painter used a steaming machine to repair the damage but was unable to remove all since they were so deep or had broken off the edges of wood. He sanded them but could not sand them out completely without going through the veneer. Even when filled with stained filler, the damage is obvious. When Central Trim corrected the door glass, they left deep ***** marks and splits in the door and trim. Instead of using new trim, they reused the beat up trim and peppered it with more nail holes. The new stained glass also has deep grind marks in it.Our contractor sent photos and details of the issues to Central Trim, but the manager's email responses dismissed the issues and did not correct them. They never even apologized for the 9 weeks of delays and issues. We chose to keep the door with its issues because the house was not weatherproof.
