Warning: *********************, the owner of the Barrel, makes it clearthis place is NOT for events. Avoid at all costs. ******'s incompetence knows no bounds. She showed up two hours late to set up for our event, then had the nerve to scream at us when we expressed our frustration. Her utter lack of professionalism and respect for our contract turned what should've been a joyous occasion into a nightmare. Don't make the same mistake we did. Stay far away from the Barrel and its despicable owner, ******.

We understand that a wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and every bride is seeking perfection. We apologize for any less than perfect experiences and wish the bride, groom, and their guests the very best. From the beginning of our relationship with the bride and groom, it was our goal, as a well-established wedding celebration venue, to provide the best experience and enable the wedding party to celebrate freely. Our events team, owners, and management strive to deliver top-notch customer service at every stage of the event planning and as flawless a final execution as possible. Our success as a venue is dependent upon partnership. The partnership of our internal teams and the collaborative partnership and communication with the contracted parties - including the bride, groom, any wedding planners, caterers, or additional vendors they bring into the event. Regarding the wedding event that took place at The Barrel - *************** on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, we took extra measures to accommodate the extensive requests of the bride and groom in an effort to go above and beyond our typical policies and contractual agreements, to make their day special. In particular:1. We gave the renters additional time to reduce their day-of stress by closing the bar for the entire day - which was not included in their contract. The contract states that events and their vendors "may begin set-up 2 hours prior to the event start time." The party did not rent the entire business day, but due to an unapproved promise made by a former employee, the owners chose to honor that promise and give them the entire day to set-up, and prep.2. We did not charge them for damage to walls when they affixed decorations, in direct breach of the "decorations" section of the contract which states "no stapling, tacking, nailing, pinning, or taping on the walls, tables, benches, or other property." Instead of charging them a damage fee, the owners provided them with a select number of locations and low-impact adhesive to use, and cleaned up after the event.3. The Private Event Contract clearly states that "The Barrel, LLC management will determine the appropriate staffing, room set-up, space allocation/location according to the number of guests". The bride and groom provided a floor plan to the owners on March 26, 2024, with clear expectation and the owners obliged them, by starting hours before the bride and groom were scheduled to arrive and bringing in the necessary equipment to move tables and furniture to accommodate the floor plan. On the day of the event and after all the tables had been arranged, the bride noticed the floor plan did not accommodate their desired set-up, which was not included in the floor plan submitted on March 26, 2024. The owners rearranged the tables to meet the expectations of the bride and did not charge any additional fees for the added time and labor.Appreciating the unique type of stress that comes with planning a wedding, our teams make every effort to accommodate all requests and needs - no matter how big or small. We realize that perfection is desired and sometimes tough to achieve. Our venue can only be as successful as the clarity and timeliness of communication we receive from our event host(s) and their vendor partners. While the groom was kind enough to apologize for several moments of frustration, the owners and staff remained understanding, as they would with any wedding party, that it's a special day with expectations that have been building over time. In the end, it appeared as if the bride, groom, and their guests enjoyed their wedding and started their matrimony blissfully. They were kind and generous to the bar staff, even extending the open bar and their time at The Barrel, and it was our pleasure to serve them.
