On December 31, 2024, Alpine Tire and Auto, a long-time auto mechanic I've been a customer of since 2018, provided an Estimate for service on my 2003 Subaru Forester. The Estimate prepared identified $1,516.96 in repairs detailed by line item. State a county government funds were used for the emergency repairs needed in which Alpine Tire and Auto was both required to provide their TIN as well as an attestation that they agreed to provide the repairs, for the costs submitted. A check from Routt County Government for $1,516.96 was paid in advance. What occurred constitutes breach of agreement and negligence causing damage to my vehicle. Upon picking up my vehicle the following was observed: Failure to properly provide fluid services - windshield washer fluid tank was half full and diluted in which *****, their lead mechanic, stated "that is FULL to us under our standards" Other work promised to be performed is in question. Broken component to a bracketing system was later identified which from detailed observation from another mechanic shows wear against the electronic wiring between the battery and the alternator. I can attest that this bracketing was not damaged prior to the Alpine Tire and Auto repairs as I check my fluids on this vehicle weekly and would have noticed it. The vehicles alternator is now, unable to take a charge from the batter providing a consistently flow of electricity back and forth between the alternator and battery due the electrical damage. The brand new battery Alpine installed is completely drained. Interstate battery verified the battery was drained, recharged it, however the wiring issue caused both the batter and alternator to cease working. This negligence and damage has caused necessity to replace wiring and the alternator costing $723. Because government emergency funds were utilized, ************ office may be intervening as a regulatory agency, not part of collections action.

Your system does not allow me to respond to my original complaint. Please see additional information. Alpine Tire and Auto's statement they had no record of this service is astonishing. I've attached a copy of the following: 1. Check sent to them which Routt County Government confirms was cashed/deposited, 2. Their itemized list of repairs they promised to provide, 3. Their EIN provided to Routt County Government, and 3. A copy of an additional item they quoted on December 31, 2024. They have my auto in their system under the wrong year. It's not 2008, it is 2003. They also did not include my name on any of their estimates nor did they have me in their system despite being a customer since 2018. They do not maintain good records, as you are coming to learn. Their response is both inaccurate, unacceptable, and I'll be pursuing litigation as their mechanic/s were negligent in providing the repairs promised and, caused damage to my vehicle in the process. I've sent an email to you directly that contains attachments.
