On November 8, 2021, Better Business Bureau reached out to MWUSRepo LLC by email and US Mail asking them to respond to BBB's advertising review and investigation into their business practices.
Consumers are alleging MWUSRepo LLC is attempting to sell unregistered boats by holding auctions on their website atwww.mwusrepo.com. Consumers are alleging they are being sent an invoice with a name of the lienholder and a request for their bank routing and account number to withdraw funds. Consumers claim that when they request a hull number, they end up receiving incorrect information. Consumers also allege the invoices given have the names of real people on them, but when they reach out to the person on the invoice, consumers are informed that they have no ownership to the property listed. Consumers claims MWUSRepo LLC asks consumers to register on their site to participate in an auction and request that consumers upload a driver’s license and the last four digits of their social security number. Consumers also stated the website will ask you to pay to a third-party account without providing any information of the purchased product.
On November 18, 2021, BBB attempted to reach out to MWUSRepo LLC by calling (720) 738-0490 and was unable to make contact. BBB left a message requesting that MWUSRepo LLC call BBB to discuss concerns relating to their business practices. A final letter was sent to MWUSRepo LLC on November 18, 2021. As of November 29, 2021, BBB has not received a response from MWUSRepo LLC.
