      Empower has not been great to work with. **************** was okay, but took 20 minutes to answer my initial call when rolling over the account. Then I was also charged a freaking $75 ********************* fee per account (**** & traditional) to roll over to another institution. We need some federal legislation that prohibits rollovers from costing any more what so ever. This is absurd. $150 just to put the money in an account of my choosing for retirement. They won't even expedite the mailing either, but will take two weeks. They offered me a $40 (each) option that would take about 1 week.

      They Accused me of taking out a retirement loan of my 401 k. It Took hours to fix. They threatened to send a **** form for me to pay taxes on the loan I never took. They never reached out to me once to fix. I had to continue calling until they finally admitted it was a mistake

      Empower offered $200 Reward for talking to their financial analysis. I did that and per their customer service representative, I've met all the requirements to qualify for the reward. The representative said his superiors won't approve the reward. It has been over 100 days and nothing has been done. They no long answer my email and phone calls.

      Been told after 8 biz days now its in ************ waiting on fed-ex to pick it up day 12 its waiting to be signed off now not in any mail box what a joke dont think we are getting out any money from this scam ** wonder u people go off the deep end at times Stay away from this ** they dont do the job at hand and not helping anyone

      Absolute joke of a company. I wait on hold an average of 30 minutes. AN AVERAGE! I'm cut off constantly, rarely get my answers handled and I'm still waiting on a withdraw a MONTH after processing it. RUN AWAY!

      I called to rollover my 401k after getting repeated emails and phone calls from them over the holidays to go through my options. I knew I wanted to rollover to my ****** account but it took 5 representatives over several days for them to process the request. Each representative said another department would need to process my request and two of them contradicted each other. Ultimately the 4th rep said we had to start over but he needed to get some training from a manager before calling me back to properly process the request. He stated these types of things have lots of governance, recorded calls, liability etc and he cant just process the request. It was very strangely worded. He called me back after hours to finish the requestuntil I got an email 5 days later at 9:46pm saying I need to contact them ASAP to get more information to process my request. Turns out, he messed up the account numbers. Rollovers arent that hard most times. This was my 4th or 5th time and by far the worst experience. Most others were easy. The biggest concern I had though was the conflicting information between reps and getting bounced around and having to start the process over. Dont use these folks if you have a choice.

      Had account since 2020 and management fund was fluctuating daily negative range up -30% finally as it came over by $2000 placed a cash out order. The process took 10 working days with lower return and double fees ended up $200 gain for an investment of $200k. Very unresponsive advisor, no clear definition on charges. Poor value for money

      Having been forced to use this company by my employer I can tell you this is not the company you want to take care of your money, I requested a partial withdrawl and 12 days later i reached out to see where the check was at. I was informed that the request had been cancelled. I spoke with a woman on the phone that her true calling in life should have been a circus act biting heads off rattle snakes in a side show. No compassion, no remorse not one concern for any kind of customer service. According to her It wasnt their fault she had to open a inquiry and for me to call back in 2 to 3 business days. Ummm uh huh so their standard policy of s**** the customer is alive and well I will recieve the same feedback on the inquiry as i did on them cancelling my request EXACTLY NOTHING no phone call no e mail no mail. Do yourself a huge favor avoid this pitiful organization at all cost. bury your money in the back yard I will guarantee you will be much happier cause you are going to hate this ripoff operation.

      I agree with most of these people on here. l just wanted my money and it was like pulling teeth. Every time I called to talk to them, I was constantly being harassed to keep my money with them.
