      I agree with most of these people on here. l just wanted my money and it was like pulling teeth. Every time I called to talk to them, I was constantly being harassed to keep my money with them.

      A very unprofessional company that truly lacks in customer service. My employer closed and laid us off on on 12/15/2023 and the *** for our 401K plan notified Empower of my separation of employment. On 1/2/2024 I called Empower to start the direct rollover process. After the hard sell to keep the money with Empower from *****, I was given a confirmation number, I checked the Empower website and it says, "Processing, Typically 1 business day." On 1/4, I called and was told they had received notification that I had separated from employment. When I asked what date was given for my separation, the Empower representative hesitated then said he couldn't tell me. On 1/5, the website was still showing, "Processing, Typically 1 business day". I then received an email stating, "We are working to obtain approval(s) needed to process your withdrawal. We will send you a message in three days to provide a status update should your withdrawal still require approval(s)." I then called Empower again and spoke to ***** who stated they received notice of my separation. and to "wait until 1/18 to see if the check is mailed." Sixteen days just to see if the check is mailed? Real professional. Direct rollovers should not take that long. Then I have live Empower representatives that are telling one story but I receive an email from Empower telling me a different story.Due to the contradicting statements and emails I am getting from Empower, I was left with no other choice but to make a FINRA complaint. I suggest others do the same.

      The most annoying retirement fund i've had the displeasure of working with. They invented problems out of nowhere to halt processing and did nothing to help resolve the issue. Their supervisors are actively avoiding work, and representatives did nothing to assist to help resolve the issue. The problem keeps being kicked from people to people and they really did nothing to help.

      After saving for more than a decade, I made a large withdraw on December 29th. The Dow ***** at close that day was at ******. I understood that I would be subject to whatever the market close was on January 2nd, next business day. The Dow closed at ****** on January 2nd - same number as the last day of market activity. My withdraw distributed to me was not even close to the amount that shows on my dashboard for January 2nd or January 3rd! When I called to give further verification of my identity and I was told the distribution amount, I asked why I would be receiving almost $600 less than what my dashboard shows and she couldn't give me an answer, just for me to look at the transaction history. I asked to speak with someone else and she just kept talking and asking me to hold. I am so glad to have pulled my life savings before more fraud ensued.

      I spent almost an hour this morning on the phone with a rep from empower. Over many years I have never been able to get accessibility to my 401k online.I only keep the 401k With empower because of the low maintenance fee offered through my company

      I am very concerned about the ethics of this company. Every time I called to transfer funds to another company, we got a different answer on how we needed a "form" from MEA in order to transfer funds., which we contacted MEA and this was not the case. Also, I was on hold over 20 minutes each time, and was disconnected several times which seemed suspicious after we questioned their process. Also, paperwork was sent three times for a transfer and they did not respond, and told us they received it 12/28/23, and the paperwork was first sent on 11/2/23. So the customer reps were not truthful on my account. At first they said they never recieved paperwork, then on the next call they did? Different information with every call. There is no way to email the company or have a person of contact so no one is every responsible. I am concerned for my investment. I did not voluntarily invest with this company, ********** Financial was bought buy them so I am frustrated.

      They are unprepared and are not knowledgeable of how 401K are run. They took a week to come up with an answer and to tell me I don't have access to my fully vest amount. The 1 star reviews are warranted.

      I was going through some financial problems so I decided to withdraw money from my roll over account to cover a month worth of bills. I did the request on the Prudentcal site and took the option of the electronic transfer in one to two business days. That was on 12/8 and it is now 12/27 and I have not received and money. When I called to find out what the problem is, they told me that my bank returned the money so they decided to mail me a check. Now I have all my bill pass due and have over $200 in late fees. I really don't see how they can continue doing business with over 350 complaints in the pass 3 years. I just want to know, where is my money?

      TERRIBLE. This company specializes in customer DIS-service. They make it as difficult as possible to withdraw your funds. Their customer service reps for withdrawals are impossible to understand. I will never do business with any entity associated with them.
