      We found their customer service to be both lacking and unethical. We called and requested a retirement account rollover upon changing jobs. Due to their mistake, they only rolled over one of the accounts and not both of them. They then cashed out the second account, which resulted in significant tax implications. When we pointed out their mistake, they refused to take corrective action. We consulted with multiple financial advisors who were shocked by their behavior. We will be sending a letter to the previous employer encouraging them to rethink future business with Empower.This has costed us thousands of dollars.

      Empower Retirement finance professionals gave me inaccurate information regarding my money. Empower mislead me with their uninformed and inadequate representatives. Trust means nothing to them when it comes to being accountable for their own mistakes. Im paying a penalty for trusting them. Dont recommend.

      This is the worst company with the customer service department being unimaginable. On top of just being too lazy to help, they have all the correct information for our withdrawal request and still are requesting more, far more than whats required! Im sure to stall us even more. We will be taking our funds out and moving them asap.

      The wait time to speak to a representative is way too long, often longer than what youre initially told. You have to repeat the same information at least twice. Then if youre sent to the wrong location, additional time will be needed to transfer to that individual.Overall, I find Empower not particularly client friendly. My suggestion is to offer the client the option of a call back, so he/she wont have to wait and endure the same monotonous music. Other companies offer that alternative. Empower needs to do better.

      For one never downloaded any app nor signed up for ANY cash advance! Not sure how the h*** you even got a hold of my account info! If my 16 bucks is NOT refunded IMMEDIATLY I will make a report!

      They are terrible.You can never log in. And never look up your account. One day you can log in and one day you cant. Then they say come back in three days. As soon as i can i will be removing my account funds to fidelity or ******.

      I was separated from employment on 11/6. I requested a withdrawal of my funds to help me pay my bills while I am looking for new employment. It is 11/27 and I have still not recieved my funds. First, my check was supposed to be expedited. On 11/16 I still didnt receive the check, even though they had a tracking number. Per tracking its on the way. I reached out to them every single day since then and they come with same response its on the way. By 11/20, I asked them to cancel that check because apparently its lost and to reissue the check by direct deposit. That was 7 days ago. I have bills now overdue, water and electricity is threatening to cut off. Im occurring late fees. Still no response from empower or no funds have been deposited. I am left to look for legal help to resolve this. I do not understand why they are either holding my money that I earned or they are just incompetent.
