      Worst company to deal with trying to take a loan for my kids medical an been everyday need more information sent them every thing they need but 8 days later an still a crock of sh**.my employer needs to get rid of them they are a joke

      How is this company still in business? I was part of a company merger and without even asking the company switched our retirement accounts from Fidelity to Empower. it has been the most painful experience of my life and now seeing all the other review I can see I am not alone. I don't understand how this company is still in business. Not only are the fees outrageous but try to get an answer on your account is almost impossible. i asked for them to get me a write up of what a withdrawal would look like, but they could only give me estimates over the phone. apparently, they don't want to put anything writing. I can wait to get a rollover completed to where I can actually work with my own money. I have moved on to a new employer but if I was to look for another job again the first question would be who manages employee retirement and anyone that uses empower would be immediately remove as a viable option as they apparently make poor business decisions.

      0 Stars. Worst financial advisers I've ever worked with. ************* is a scumbag who should be in chains for failing to meet the most basic fiduciary standards. This s***** roboviser is worthless, poor performance and you can never reach anyone. Missed appointments with no explanation. I had one today and he called after six failed appointments. It went to voicemail. I called him back 1 minute later and left a voicemail saying I needed to speak to him urgently. No answer no response and no one else to contact. You'd be better off working with *********** or ***** Fargo. I hope people come for these shady ghouls and their livers.

      No financial advisor as claimed for those with investments $250k or more. No contact info only recording messaging. Fees charged yet no contact or advisement. Called multiple times left messages with number provided from employer and now number has recording " not in service". I am very suspicious of this company due to lack of transparency and direct contacts. How do I get my money to another firm?

      I am furious at this company. I have been waiting on a loan I took out in September. I have made payments towards a loan I have never received. I call constantly and get the run around by most of the customer service reps. I don't blame them. They are just doing their job. The ones I will never again take a loan out with this company. I want to cancel everything that deals with this company. GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!!!!! I can call and send tons of emails with no satisfaction. Can I do anything else besides complain? If anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them. I am fed up and over all of this.

      I recently submitted a request for a hardship loan from my own account. The don't want you to be able to get funds to help your family. Empower has old forms on their website, which then they want you to start the process again. Empower retirement doesn't care about the customers, they just want the money and fees to collect. If I could, I would withdraw my funds and never deal with Empower retirement. They should change their business name to, " give me your money and go away"!

      Never use this financial services group. They wont give you your money! The operators are perfectly polite but the number of hoops the company requires you to jump through to get your money out is crazy! I am trying to roll over to an external institution and they require a multiple page form filed, notarized with a jurat with handwritten info on the jurat. This has to be signed by both me and my wife. This was never explained at any point so I have spent over $100 in notary fees not to mention babysitting costs to prepare the forms. Since the dates on the different forms arent the same they wont accept them. They wont send me the form back to correct the original claiming it has personal information which it does not. So now I am on round 3 of going to a notary with the hope that there are no further hoops they require and havent told me about. The point of notarizing documents should be to verify your identity it should not be used as a way to hijack your retirement. They now have 3 different forms verifying my identity and intent.I have gone through the same process with 4 other firms with no issue. As an employee you dont have control of who manages your companies 401k plan but if you care about your employees wellbeing dont give their money to this company.
