      i called 3 times today for a hardship withdrawal .they keep on transfering and holding..i will try again tomorrow maybe better luck

      I have a block in my sewer and sewage backing up into my house. I submit paperwork on 6-13-23 stating emergency-need pipes replaced from house to sidewalk. Drain under house broke. Raw sewage in my crawlspace. Request 31k of my own money. Submit first bill for $17,700.00. Call multiple times, go to my HR department, submit emergency letters. On 6-15-23 Empower has the incorrect amount on file of the first bill. $5000 less. I state I don't have the bills yet for floors, sanitation, lay my driveway back down, etc. Empower only approves for first bill. I beg for money to be wired since Juneteenth is coming up. On 6-16-23 approves funds for 1-3 days after the 21st. 1:30 AM 6-19-23 sewage backing back up in my house. No money yet. Holiday today. Contractors need half money to start work again. Small business. I have called so many times and submitted 3 letters. Nothing. Cannot get past customer service. I have never dealt with such an inept, poorly run company in my life. I will continue to complain to my company HR department. Awful awful service.

      I'm not happy with the investment choices. The good thing is they have an option for a self directed brokerage account. The bad thing is they limit the amount of money you can put there to 50% of your funds and they charge a fee to use it.There are no transaction records emailed out when you move money like I've gotten accustomed to from top tier financial firms.

      This company will literally let you DIE. I HAVE HEART DISEASE AND MEDICAL BILLS. In the process of hardship withdrawal bills over *************************************************************************************** I only qualify for 735$ were in God's name did they even get that number. And no one can tell me how they got it.. over 2 hours of phone time and still nothing. I can't continue with my hospital visits till I resolve my bills.

      Terrible company. I spend an hour on the phone trying to get a dtc number for a transfer because they charge fees for an account I didn't want. I get told "too bad", keep paying fees or pay a fee to transfer out.

      Greater than 40 minute wait times. Currently on the fifth call and unable to roll over my current account. Unsure if they don't know how to roll over or if it's company policy to make the process difficult.

      Absolutely horrible, i hope i never have to deal with them again. They hold your money hostage as if it is theirs. I did a hardship request and now they want documentation that was not listed on the form they want you to fill out. I did not have this hassle with fidelity. Avoid at all costs.

      Empower took over from ********** retirements.Empower charges a $15 processing fee when withdrawing from 401K. ********** did not. May not sound like a lot, but when you're on social security and a few **** savings it Just seems Another grab for money. Despite the fact, the stock market and interest rates are up. Is nothing ever enough for the banking industry?
