      I went to see why my de ti card was retained by the *** and I was very polite asking about it and the Rep was absolutely rude and called me dramatic .. this is an unacceptable way to approach a customer..

      My mother and father used Bellco Credit Union for years. Dad has been deceased over 10 years now. Mom recently sold her house and we contacted Bellco for a change of address. They told us the accounts have been closed and money is at the state because of inactivity. We are still getting statements with maturity dates on the CDs. After numerous calls and dealing with their rudeness they said a letter was sent out advising us this was going to happen. If they did make an attempt it was a one time poor attempt. I asked why none of the beneficiaries were contacted and she said no beneficiaries were listed although I have paperwork showing it was updated 10 years ago. They are inept, unwilling to help, rude and truly dont care.

      After nearly two years into an auto lease with Bellco Credit Union, I just registered for an online account with them and discovered that I have several, sequential $15.00 late fees that date back to May 2021. I realize that this is on me, and that loan payments should be made on time (or within a grace ******** but I had no idea that this was happening until I registered to view my account online. From my perspective, I am simply tearing monthly payment coupons out of a booklet that Bellco sent me upon lease inception, and I must have fallen behind some time ago, so the late fees just keep propagating without any transparency or warnings. These late fees are added non-transparently to the loan balance behind the scenes and I'll be responsible to pay them when the lease is over.I'm leaving this review as information for others. Bellco seems comfortable with a practice of quietly collecting late fees.I just called to switch from a coupon book to monthly invoices for visibility/transparency as well as log this with a representative as something that they should fix in their business practices from a customer success standpoint.

      The absolute worst bank/credit union to work with. They are AWFUL. Always rude and short with me, which is why I moved to Premier CU. Also, they STILL call me once a week regarding a random person that I have never even heard of in an effort to collect on a debt. I have told them no less than 20 times that they have the wrong number but they NEVER stop calling me and asking for this random person. They never get this corrected, I just got another call today at my place of work asking about this random person. THE WORST --- RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!

      If I could leave a negative review I would. This is the most unorganized bank I have ever had to deal with. They made may auto loan under my maiden name, that hadn't been used for a year. I have been fighting them to change it to the correct, legal name (that I signed loan documents under) for the last 6 YEARS! I have faxed in my ID multiple times per their request to update it within the system with no luck. It never seems to get to them. It makes identifying myself extremely difficult when I have to call often to complain about another issue or shortcoming on their end. I pay my vehicle off almost a year early to get rid of them and they still wont update my name. Now it's "too late" even though they said there was time to fix it per my 57th request. Now they can't do anything BUT I can take more time off work, go sit in the *** and PAY to get it changed per their advice. I did not make the error nor had anything to do with it, have faxed my ID in multiple times, and have to now ONCE AGAIN be at the blunt end of the situation and fix their mistakes and pay out of pocket. They have NO customer service and do NOT care about their members, let alone get their name straight. DO NOT BANK WITH BELLCO CREDIT UNION!

      Horrible experience. I have a checking and a savings account with Belco. Upon opening my account, they informed me that I had the option for a overdraft assistance or something to that affect. I did not want this feature as it allows payment to go through even if theres not enough money in the account. This incurs a $35 fee. After a years time, fighting every month to get this fixed, and incurring over $1,000 in fees in a calendar year, they informed me just now, that I had this service and thats why I kept getting these charges. They have now restricted my account, but only after informing me that if anyone attempts to collect money from the account while it is negative at this point, I will incur a $38 fee. This is unconscionable. Im not allowed to close the account, but Im being forced to incur fees until I get the account positive, although its only negative now due to the fees I have taken on. This bank should be ashamed of the way they treat customers. Absolutely terrible experience, never again will I bank with such awful people.

      NEVER do a car lease with this company!! I found out the hard way they take all your insurance money if your car gets totaled. ITS IN THE SMALL PRINT! Our pay off was $32k. Our insurance paid $43k. Bellco took it all! Most lease companies give the customer back the overageNOT BELCO! Unethical and horrible company!!!!

      Unfortunately, I have my daughter's savings account, they closed without warning me. They sent me a letter regarding to this account in order to avoid closing this account, I need to make a transaction in 30 days to reactivate the account. So that's what I did. They closed the account anyway, without even bothering to check if there are any transactions, not even sending me a letter that they will send the money to ******** State. I made transaction on 8/22/22, they closed the account 10/14/22. I called the customer service for this on 10/24/44, I demanded that they should retrieve this account due to their negligence. The customer service was very unprofessional not helpful at all but very rude! And she didn't even want to provide her last name when I asked. She said she can't provide her last name. It seemed that it was not a legit customer service. She said it will take about 3 days to call me back because they will do research first. She never called. On the same day, I went to the bank personally to address the issue. I was told they can't retrieve the money, I need to call the State and take care of it myself. But she said they were able to re open the account, which I did not asked at all! Really? It's been over a month, I have been calling the **************** every week, they don't have the money yet. This bank customer service is very disappointing and frustrating. They definitely wasted my time for not doing their job. **************** needs proper training.

      Horrible bank practices. I am an accountant, went into the bank in 2017 to sign up for a ****** The banker forced a credit card account on me when I only needed to open a saving and checking account linked to the ****** I was able to get the credit card cancelled after some online research realizing this particular banker had bullied me into thinking the credit card was required.... so I felt better about banking with Bellco after the correction.... HOWEVER: once I began to draw down on my HELOC account in 2020, I have noticed a very messy practice on their "Daily" interest charges. As I am paying my HELOC down monthly (on time...and now with a locked in ****% rate), I have noticed quite a large difference per month on principal payments, it can vary month to month by $500. I have never seen anything like this. DO NOT do any daily interest loans with this company....you won'y be paying down your principal like a mortgage. One month I am paying down over $600 toward principal, but the following month it can be less than $200 towards principal. It is a terrible loan. DO NOT get a HELOC with this bank. Worst loan practice I have encountered. I am working to buy this loan out through another bank now. I will NEVER do business with Bellco again.

      11/3 my debit card was declined. After an insanely frustrating call with a ******* Services *** I was made aware the reason for my card being declined was an attempted fraudulent charge. Mind you, I neither received ANY notice or communication of such attempt nor was I made aware my card would now be declined. The same MS *** had absolutely nothing to offer in way of assistance, other than stating she could send me to the Fraud Team to resolve once I provided the Fraud Number they sent meAfter explaining to her 37 more times that I was never made aware of the fraud attempt and was never provided a fraud number, let alone ever contacted by them (or anyone) and I had no such number to provide. A resolution was impossible, she was of no assistance and refused to get me in contact with anyone who could/might be of assistance. That was just the beginningthe next morning I went into a local branch a received a new card. Stopped for breakfast on my way home, card declined! Very long story shortmy card has continued to be declined (now a week later) but only for in person purchases & attempts to withdraw cash from Bellco ATMs. Apparently ordering pizza online is fine and dandy. The same ******* Services Team has given 3 separate assertions (multiple utterly maddening messages): the issue should be resolved (twice), I am not seeing any issues with your card or account it is possible there is an issue with the physical chip in the card, to the most recent (11/9) your debit card was rejected by our fraud navigator (yet again, there was zero communication with me regarding any attempted fraud or notice that my card will be declined) Ive also filed a complaint with **************************************** -preventing fraudulent transactions to protect funds is needed, but doing so blindly with zero transparency and zero communication while denying the account holder (me) proper access to those same protected funds while offering no reasonable solution is illicit.
