    The owner(Al) stood us up three times for an estimate. He finally showed up for estimate and broke it out into three areas so we could decide how much we could afford. He poured and sawcut the first area and we released him on the other two per his estimate. after prep on the next area he came into my office and admitted he had made a mistake. He said that he needed an additional $3,000 to pour the rest and he could take care of the rest. I agreed to an additional $3,000 and he proceeded to pour the rest. He went to my partner to sign the second contract for the last two areas and told my partner this was the amount He and I had agreed on. He increased the amount by the $3,000 and added an additional $3,300 more. I was not here the day of the second pour so I did not see the contract. We were overcharged $3,300 after I was nice enough not to hold him to his estimate and agreed to the additional $3,000. He was supposed to sawcut on Saturday but canceled and when he did come the following week, he did not complete the work. I have been calling him and texting him and he will not return a call or a text. Work was adequate but the dishonesty between the estimate and the final cost is disreputable. There are many more reputable companies doing the same work.
