    Buyer Beware! I purchased an Apr splitter with APR FRONT LIP/airdam. Received my order missing the lip/airdam. I contacted Subimods and sent screenshots of their website with description clearly showing it included the lip/airdam. My packing slip also showed it was included. They replied saying oh sorry that is sold separate and that i would have to buy it addition to what I had already bought. If I wanted to return it would be at my expense. An hour after replying to me they updated the product description on their website changing it, a clear admission of their screw up. Horrible company with deceptive business practices, I do not recommend!

    Purchased parts and entered in a discount code that was supposedly valid. After submitting the purchase, the discount code was removed although it said it was valid and showed the total discounted amount.
    After the cart checkout I was charged the full amount.
    Due to this my bank account went negative and caused many issues.

    After talking to support they stated that code was a military discount. There was no way of knowing this. I felt taken advantage of due to the fact that it automatically charge a full amount with no warning or description.

    The support team stated they would refund the difference. They refused to honor the discount code even after explaining to them that I felt this was wrong and not my fault but a issue with their system.

    It took a multiple days to go back to my card. Also, the wrong amount was reimbursed and it still is not correct to this day due to taxes. I had to email multiple times just to get a reimbursement.

    I feel for the troubles and inconvenience that Subimods should have honored the discount due to false information. At this point I’m not would not even be happy with the discount that I tried to apply. I lost money in this purchase.

    Hello, 

    We have spoken to this customer multiple times regarding this situation and each time he seems to alter his story more and more away from the facts. 

    Starting with the core issue of this complaint. **** "obtained a code" from his friend which is a private Military, Fire and Police discount code we offer to this group as a thank you for their service, he then attempted to use this code on his order, which our system presented as **** is not indeed a Military, First Responder or member of a police department.

    This code requires the customers email to be entered into a specific segment on ******* otherwise it will not be eligible to allow the customer to check out with. ******* cross checks the discount against the user segment when customers are in the checkout process and provides them a total very clearly before placing the order. The cart total was clearly displayed to **** during the checkout process and on his own accord he completed the checkout. 

    He then begins to contact our support team regarding the discount and why it was not applied to his order, we spoke to **** no less than three times on the phone, going as far as to offer him the 5% discount in the form of store credit (which he is oddly requesting now as a desired resolution) to which he denied. 

    We have refunded this customer for everything that he has requested and we no longer wish to have communication with this customer. He is attempting to take advantage of a discount he is not entitled to, this is a complete and utter slap in the face to the members of this group which the discount is designed to benefit. 

    ** ******* claim about his bank account going negative and various overdraft fee's have no relevance to this situation and we are in no way the cause or responsible for his mismanagement of funds. We do not have access to his bank account nor is that relative to the responsibility of the retailer, he is clearly attempting to garnish more funds in return for this "inconvenience"  which in reality is him trying to claim a discount he is not entitled to.

    hello, I don’t feel this is acceptable from the company. I don’t intend to take advantage of the situation but I don’t feel this was right by the customer. Time is money and this whole thing was a waste of my time. I would recommend they take out the discount code for others to not have the same issue. I didn’t understand the discount code and didn’t know it was military or fire. When I checked out the discount code was removed and I thought the code was applied at check out.

    I believe I’m helping the company by telling them this issue and how to prevent it with other customers they may have. I do feel there should be some compensation for my troubles. I did not agree with a store credit as that was not helping my problem but trying to get me to buy more from the business in the future

    Hello, 

    This discount has been active for 5 years in the capacity Mr. ***** states is unfair to traditional consumers. Never once in the past five years has this complaint been raised by a consumer. We do not feel ** ******* direction to remove the discount for our loyal service members is a fair or reasonable resolution. 

    If Mr ***** no longer wishes to do business with us because we will not honor a military discount that he is not entitled to, than unfortunately it may be the only option to go our separate ways.
