One of our work trucks broke down, and this was the only shop available for towing. They towed the vehicle for $1,326.99 and offered to inspect it or take it to our regular mechanic. Since we run a small construction business with a fleet of 10 trucks and a dedicated mechanic in ********, we planned to follow up before approving repairs.

We called Tuesday–Friday to check on the diagnostic and tow fee but received no response despite multiple messages. Frustrated, we went to the shop Friday and were told they replaced the fuel filter, flushed the lines, and refilled the tank for an extra $1,010.47.

Back at our mechanic, we immediately found a brand-new, unopened fuel filter box on the seat. The original filter was still installed, and after draining the fuel, our mechanic confirmed it hadn’t been touched. We have photos of the old filter and debris that came out after a proper service.

When I emailed the shop about the issue, I received a generic response from "Steven," failing to address any concerns. After pushing for answers, they claimed we "rushed the mechanic," despite having the truck Monday–Friday. Their shop has two small bays that can’t even fit our truck, raising further doubts.

They agreed to refund $400 over eight days ago, but now they are ignoring all emails and calls. This dishonesty gives reputable shops a bad name. At this point, we are demanding a full refund of $1,010.47.

We have offered the customer submitting the complaint a partial refund for their experience. The customer picked up the vehicle and drove it away on the day the bill was paid. The vehicle would not run when we towed it into the shop. Any allegations that the problem with the vehicle was not fixed is untrue. The customer refused to accept the refund and to rescind any complaints. At this point we are not able to come to a resolution with the customer. Thanks

    $1677.72
    Invoice *******

Was supposed to repair/replace the power steering gear box on my truck.
Attempted to force entry into my toolbox on the back of the truck, broke my trailer hitch key off in the lock on the toolbox. They drilled out the rivets holding the lock assembly to the toolbox in an attempt to gain entry.
I contacted them about it and they ignored/evaded my contact efforts.
In addition, there were many "adjustment" upcharges added onto the invoice to inflate the bill. I am not confident in the repair quality nor the parts quality. The steering wheel ended up crooked while driving down a straight road and Lakeville's answer was "it needs an alignment". My own mechanic confirmed it was improperly installed.

The customer in question never made any complaints or voiced any concerns about the condition of the vehicle. We allowed the customer to examine and even test drive the vehicle before partying for repairs because we had already notified them of an underlying issue that was discovered while working on the vehicle affecting the steering. We advised the customer that more parts should be changed but the customer elected to not repair the vehicle stating that after the test drive the steering felt the same as it was when he brought it in. The customer never called back to complain or tell us there were any issues with the vehicle and never mentioned anything in regards to the condition of the tool boxes and locks. We have attempted to contact the customer several times since this complaint has been made but our missed calls and messages have not been returned.

On 8/2/23 We (****** ******) had a truck break down and towed to Lakeville Towing. We were charged $500 for tow of truck $500 for tow of trailer and paid for 4 days of storage priced at $100/per day. We paid that no problem, We asked for estimate of needed repairs and to let us know prior to any work being performed.
    Received Estimate for $7,544.28
Saw the parts were marked up over 100%, asked if theses were aftermarket or actual dealer parts, we were told these were actual dealer parts from *********. We obtain prices from ********* directly and just as we suspected the markup was well over 100%. We ask if we can use our parts (as we get our parts directly from *********) we were told NO,.... No problem
We then let them Lakeville know we would not be having them perform any services or repairs to our vehicle and we were sending someone to pickup vehicle and remove from their location and we would like to pay the storage fees as that was the only authorized service and to please send us invoice for that. We receive invoice for $1390.58 for parts, labor, etc...
However no work was authorized or performed with permission. We call Lakeville to ask why we were charged this and can receive no answer. We asked who authorized these charges and the response we received was "we have it in writing that someone authorized the services" but we wont provide you with that documentation because we dont have to."
****** ****** let them know that if any representative of our company authorized this work we would pay no problem, however they refuse to provide this alleged signed document. Reason being is no one authorized any charges. Now they will not release our vehicle until these unauthorized charges have been paid.
All documentation and email conversations have been attached.

    Documents include:
invoice and receipt we paid for the original tow
Estimate of parts, storage fees, labor
Actual ********* Invoice that show repair part pricing
    Invoice of Unauthorized work

As shown above the invoicing and complaint have been resolved with this customer and there was a happy resolution. Also, in response to the price markup accusation we have included the quote we received which shows that we charged the list price of the parts sourced directly from *********.
