I would NOT recommend silver script prescription services to anyone. Their documentation is unclear, confusing, and incomplete. I used to pay $10 for a medication, and Silver Script charged me $721. The documentation did not define "Preferred Network Retail" vs. "Standard Network Retail", and neither did their website. So I filled a script at Walgreens, only to find out a month later that Walgreens was not a preferred network retail pharmacy. I spent 30 - 60 minutes each time I called to customer service, and got conflicting information from various representatives. VERY FRUSTRATING and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I am only giving 1 star because it's the minimum possible. Today is MAR 28th, I have been trying without success to change my PCP since last Thursday. MAR 20. First, I went online to attempt this ordeal. Where I received an error message saying that it could not be done online.
My second attempt was to call on Friday Mar 21. The agent said it would be changed in up to 48 hours. The result was that I had an appointment on MAR 24, for which I denied because nothing was changed on Aetna's end. My third attempt was calling AGAIN on MON after I left the clinic. The second agent said that she would escalate to a different team that would take care of the issue in 48 hours. Seventy-two hours after, I called because nothing had been done. The agent said she would escalate it again, I asked to speak to a supervisor who did nothing as well. Said that there was no one there that could take care of the issue, and that I needed to wait 24 more hours. Well guess what, the 24 has passed and no sign of update on my PCP.
How can a person expect that a company like this take care of their health when in the computer era of 2025 they can't even change a PCP in a week?
I did not change this insurance the same day because the time to change insurance has expired, but as soon as I am able, that's exactly what I will do.

Aetna has now changed covered doctors TWICE since the enrollment period.
I have lost most of my care team.
It took me years to build that team. They destroyed it in a couple months.
Why can THEY make dramatic changes to my coverage, but I can't?
Oh, yeah. Because I'm not a CEO.
Being a regular person means you are at the mercy of fat cats and grifters.
And it's all perfectly legal, apparently.
If I die, it is Aetna's fault. Period.

So my "covered" annual physical cost me ...
      $7.80 for a thyroid check
$13.05 for a b12 check, which was insanely low, so thank goodness it was done despite aetna saying it was not necessary or important despite my inability to get off the couch.
$1.93 to have my cholesterol checked despite it being off the chart previously.
$25.39 for a "general health panel" - no idea?
So when you are choosing a health plan, and think aetna covers annual checkups - they do not.

I was put on my ex’s insurance plan without my notice. Aetna will not take my name off his policy. My insurance won’t cover any of my bills because of the screw up. I’ve made several phone calls to Aetna and they tell me my name was removed every time I called. I’m tired of this crap!

I have been dealing with Aetna Insurance for over six months, trying to get reimbursement for my son’s medically necessary prescription formula *********. This experience has been a complete nightmare of delays, deception, and incompetence.
In December 2024, after months of fighting, Aetna approved my appeal and confirmed reimbursement.
Despite this approval, they never processed the claims and continued giving me the runaround.
After calling nonstop for updates, on February 20, 2025, Aetna reversed their decision, claiming we did not meet the deductible—even though they had already approved the appeal.
My insurance benefits clearly state that this formula is covered, yet Aetna is now claiming it is only covered for tube-fed patients, which is not stated anywhere in my benefits. This is a blatant attempt to deny coverage after previously approving it.
I have spent countless hours on the phone, escalating this issue multiple times, yet Aetna continues to ignore their own policies and refuse to follow through. Their lack of urgency has jeopardized my son’s health, and I cannot afford to waste more time chasing after them.
If you need reliable insurance that honors approvals and follows through on commitments, Aetna is NOT it. Their lack of accountability, misleading communication, and unethical business practices should be a serious warning to anyone considering their services.
I will be pursuing legal action and reporting them to the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance for their deceptive handling of medically necessary claims.
Avoid Aetna at all costs. They will leave you stranded

I hate Aetna and all they stand for. Not a doctors visit goes by that I don’t get some bullshit bill from them and some reason why they won’t cover it.

What a ridiculous process to add my newborn onto the plan. Plan went active on 1/1/25, baby born 1/29/25, added onto the plan 2/11/25. Got new insurance ID cards with him on it BUT for baby’s 1 month appt and my 6 week appt I was told that my insurance wasn’t active, called insurance 6 times in a 2 weeks period for the problem to be resolved, couldn’t give me a straight answer, first said it was cancelled because of non payment (auto pay is set up and money has been coming out) then said marketplace never sent the new application over. Marketplace and broker both confirmed that the application was submitted and I am active in their side, insurance can’t explain anything. One representative put me on hold for 20 minutes then transferred me to myself causing me to hang up and have to call all over again. Have had 3 escalation complaints put in, had my application resubmitted 3 times in 2 weeks and now insurance is telling me I have to wait 2 weeks to get my new cards and for them to activate me and my kids again. What a joke.
