We have been with Hartford more than 30 years.
Just one claim and got the letter our policy in going to be canceled.
Trying to reach for explanation but person denied to contact with superiors, and can explained clearly we 'and hung up a phone.
We found out during the origination of claim they said we were not here. We mentioned we have management company about our property that took care of our property
Plus, we are senior citizen, AARP membership more then 20 years.
Conclusion: They are not really supporting the customers

I have been threatened for seven months to cut off my benefits in 30 days. I have been complying with The Hartford. I can not help that I was physically assaulted by a plastic surgeon following surgery and decided to go to another hospital and the prior hospital had been refusing to release my medical records as The Hartford claims. I am a breast cancer survivor that need peace with no more threats being my recertification is not due until October 2024.

They raised my yearly premium from $2000 to $5515!
How can this be a senior program?

I have heard about the Hartford auto insurance for years, I originally had a auto policy with another company So
I called the Hartford auto insurance, they gave me a great rate, at first! making my decision to change insurance, quite easy the agent assured me that the rate was, locked in little did I know, I was being deceived, the. agent told me that first I would have to take out a year long
Membership with AARP, and so I did
I was then told that I would also save
10% on the auto insurance by joining
There true lane program, this program
Consist of two devices, one you can plug under dashboard in which
they never tell you the plug in device
Is for certain states only, and the second device you can get the true lane 10%discount -is IPhone or android-- they tell you can download
The true lane app, what the Hartford
Agents don't tell you,is that you have
To buy a phone compatible to their true lane app, So since my, android wasn't compatible with the app
I,lost the discount, the Hartford auto insurance should be straight up with its customers not deceive them just to buy a policy, very disappointed with the Hartford,

The worst experience I’ve ever had! Short term disability through my employer for maternity leave. It’s been over three weeks with NO PAY for the second half of my leave. Called four times and used live chat once. They keep ensuring me my case is being escalated and no one returns my calls or emails. I cannot get a resolution and this is absolutely unacceptable when I have a new baby to care for on top of bills coming due. I am just appalled at the lack of communication and compassion from this company. It has truly made my maternity leave a very difficult time and looks like I will have to make arrangements to return to work immediately so that I can have some
Money coming in. It’s a very scary situation to be in when you are out of work with a new baby as a first time mom and they just stop paying you and won’t communicate even after I made sure they received all forms needed from my doctor. Customer service reps told me they have everything they need and someone will get back with me. This happens every single time I call and I get NOTHING. No call back, no email, no portal update. Just unbelievable.

I can not get The Hartford to process my payment to continue the policy that has been in place for well over a decade. Their customer service keeps telling me its processing. I have text confirmations that they were processing the payment, yet I received a letter stating the policy was cancelled. They can not tell me why the payments won't go through, yet I paid 411.23 today and they tell me they are going to process the other two payments plus this for the month of July, ultimately stealing money from my elderly mother. I have spent over 3 hours over 4 days to get them to process a payment and reinstate the policy. They can not tell me why the payment isn't processing, as in, they have no clue why. Who runs their billing department?
Its as if they want policies to be dropped. If I wasn't my mother's POA, her policy would be dropped and she would be out of home owner's insurance with no help from THE HARTFORD.
I had to fight to get the payment process and reinstated as I had all communication on file and recorded showing we did our due dilligence and this was truly at the fault of THE HARTFORD.

I have a long term disability policy that I paid into for 15 years that was supposed to give me 60% of my income in the event that I become disabled. Well, I got a bad case of multiple sclerosis and am a hemiplegic now who is on ssdi due to my PERMANENT DISABILITY. Unfortunately, because of the permanent nature of my disability I qualified for SSDI benefits. Because of this, the Hartford decided that I am not entitled to my full benefits (that I paid for) and settled on $100/month! On top of that, they require me, and my doctor to confirm ANNUALLY that I'm still PERMANENTLY DISABLED! They don't seem to understand what permanent means.
Nobody I've ever dealt with in the company is helpful, and it always turns into a frustrating experience. All this so they don't cut off the tiny fraction of the benefit I paid for! The Hartford should be shut down!

They will give you the run around about benefits you are rightfully owed! I’ve been collecting benefits for an injury they keep cutting me off and then telling me I need paperwork close to the holiday and beginning of the month. I called and get hung up on or no person I can talk to. My analysis goes on vacation right after I’m cut off so nobody can help me. What about my bills and family! This is supposed to be security from my job that I’m able to take care of my family turns out to be a battle for benefits! Even when you do the right thing! No explanation no supervisors or managers will even come to the phone to help in 3 hours after making 6 calls from Friday to Wednesday! No respect for the customers time bills or issues! This company just adds more stress to someone already on leave! When I return to work I’m going to recommend my employer and union look into other companies and I’m going to tell my co workers the problems I’ve had with your company I really wish I could give you a 0! 3 hours for nothing

I unfortunately have short term disability with The Hartford through my employer. It’s been a hair pulling process to say the least. I delivered my baby 4 weeks ago and still have no resolution in sight for any short term disability payment. I’ve been bounced around facilitating the sending/receiving of necessary documentation between my employer, doctor, and The Hartford. The reoccurring theme is various representatives from The Hartford saying they magically don’t receive information sent to them even though my portal with The Hartford reflects information received. I genuinely feel as if I'm getting the run around.
This is not okay. This has a direct effect on livelihood as I am not receiving any pay while on leave due to this delay. The Hartford receives payment to have these benefits ready to go when needed. They’re not holding up their end of the deal.

Price gouging. I have received 3 increased payments in less than a year. I have not filed any claims, have a good driving record, no accidents, payment made on time or before. There is NO JUSTIFICATION FOR THESE PRICE INCREASE AND I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN That USES car for pleasure ONLY. Driving an average of 50 to 100 miles per month. I feel these increases are UNREASONABLE, GOUGING AND GREED. Individuals should not bare the expense of natural disaster found across America. If certain people are filling claims to recoup their losses then those people and/or companies should receive increases. People that DO NOT USE THEIR INSURANCE AND HAVE TO PURCHASE IT AS A STATE REQUIREMENT/MANDATE SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED FOR THOSE THAT GOUGE THE SYSTEM. REVIEWS SHOULD BE UN ORDER WHEN GOVERNMENT REVIEWS FIND EXCESSIVE PRICE INCREASE ABD MULTIPLE INCREASES IN A YEAR'S TIMEFRAME. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BEAR Executive GREED.
