      My wife and I bought a business last September. To be responsible one of the first things I did was to find an account. I did a search and was more than happy to find that there was one in town not a 1/4 mile from our business. I called and set up an appointment with the owner.
      I met him in his office and we had a fantastic talk about the town and about what his services and rates were. At the end of the meeting, he told me to not to worry about anything and to make sure to send our financials to him the first week of the new year to do our Q4 taxes. The time came to submit those financials and and I promptly did. He responded back telling me he would get back to me soon. A couple months go by and I reach out to see what is going on. When I spoke to him on the phone it was clear he did not know who I was. When I reminded him, he commented how he was working on a project for the state that just finished up and would be able to go over our financials that weekend and get back to me. The weekend comes and goes with no communication from him. Now it is clear that something is off. I try calling and leave a message for him which never gets returned.
      So now, I have come to the realization that this person runs a business without integrity or professionalism. If he just stated he forgot or was going to work on it, I would have been annoyed but ok. However, not calling back or avoiding phone calls is not how a business person should operate. I have all the email communications and phone logs saved. I want to make sure that no one else gets treated with such disregard, especially when they are putting their trust and well-being in the hands of someone who is supposed to be a professional. Being a small business already comes with trials and pitfalls. I never would have thought a person who has been in the community as long a him could do that to another small business. His actions have now put us in a very bad position.
