  In March 2025, BBB contacted New Beauty & Wellness regarding claims in its advertising.
  
  Its website and social media pages include many health benefit claims related to the ingredients and treatments offered at the facility.  Below is a sample of some of the health benefit claims in its advertising. 
  Hydrafacial Benefits: "Helpful for preventing acne"  "Eliminates bacteria"
  Benefits of Botox: "Halts the formation of dynamic wrinkles in young adults"
  "Masseter Botox - Relieve TMJ pain Reduce jaw tension, clenching, and teeth grinding."
  "Additionally, Juvederm’s SKINVIVE contains a blend of antioxidants, amino acids, and minerals. This blend works synergistically, protecting the skin from harmful external factors such as UV sun rays and other environmental pollution." 
  "Benefits of IV Therapy: Higher energy levels; Mental clarity; Reducing illness risk; Rapid illness recovery; Combating free radicals; Reducing oxidative stress; Flushing out toxins; Reducing inflammation after workouts;  Improving skin hydration and elasticity; Promoting collagen production; Repairing and restoring cells for healing"
  New Beauty Glow Mix IV: "It supports your immune system, fights fatigue, and helps relieve migraines, cramps, depression, and mood swings."
  Weight Loss Drip: "Formulated with lipotropic compounds and essential amino acids, it helps burn fat, supports muscle tone, and improves overall health..It also enhances digestion, curbs cravings, and provides sustained energy for an active lifestyle, promoting fat breakdown and boosting metabolism. Many patients also add a Glutathione powerhouse antioxidant booster to reduce oxidative stress."

  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.  For medicinal and therapeutic claims or claims to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any illness or disease, scientific clinical evidence from human clinical trials is preferred to support these claims.  Substantiation should involve human testing that is blinded, performed by an independent third party, placebo controlled, conducted on a sufficient scope of subjects, and ideally has been peer reviewed. Claims concerning overall uniquely formulated products also require testing on the combination of ingredients in the product.  Specific ingredient claims also require substantiation. The business did not respond to BBB's request that it substantiate, modify, or discontinue its claims. 
  
  Its website states "Turn back the clock with the #1 cosmetic treatment in the world, offered by the #1 Botox provider in Connecticut."  Superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. Statements such as this can be proved or disproved. The business did not respond to BBB nor did it modify or discontinue the claim. 
  
  Its advertising includes disclaimers, one of which states in part "Results may vary. We are reputable for complete customer satisfaction for completed treatments. Before and after images reflect real results from real patients, although individual results may vary. No treatment is promised to provide permanent results. A guarantee is neither provided nor implied."  The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. BBB suggested that the statement "individual results may vary" should be discontinued or modified to clearly and conspicuously disclose either the typical experience a consumer can reasonably expect or that the results depicted are not typical.  Additionally, in light of the many health benefit claims in its advertising, BBB suggested that the disclaimer may create a deceptive contradiction and should be removed unless such claims are modified or discontinued.
