      I had Home Serve put in a heating/air system in my condo. I have had Home serve for a couple of years and never had a problem. BUT when the installers came to do the system, it wasn't actually Home Serve. It was a third party installer they hired to install after I waited 3 or 4 weeks for them to install it. Of course there were problems afterwards. I had the fire department here with a smoke filled house and the burning smell. It was the scariest thing I've experienced. I shut the system down and opened all windows so by the time the fire department came the smoke was getting less, the alarms stopped going off . The fire department went up into the attic to check with a camera to see if anything was going on the walls and everywhere else up there. They found that the gas line to the heat was not connected correctly and a few other things. Jimmy from Home Serve came the next day and was so professional about checking for gas leaks in the heating system and redid a piece on top of the air conditioning AND then he did the burn off of the heating system. It was a bit scary because the alarms went off and the smell came back, but he said no worries. It was to be expected and he did that 3x before he left and made sure all was fixed and right. He was wonderful. Today I had my heating service tune up and this gentleman was on the phone with Jimmy and they compared notes and he went over everything again. He was from Home Serve too and he was extremely professional as well. Now they have to come back and fine tune something in the heating system. I can't remember what, but it is preset at the factory, so they will come in and fine tune it, because it was way too hot today to do it. I hope that Home Serve will not continue to farm out work to third party companies and just use their own men who are the best.

      In 2020 I had called to cancel the service. I just got a statement from them in the Mail August 2023 that they’ve been billing me monthly since that time. I called to find out why my service was not canceled and they blamed it on me, saying that I had not stayed on the phone long enough. I have now tried to cancel the service again.

      I am appalled by the service of this company. I paid for a warranty for my HVAC On 8/7/2023 they sent out a contractor and they never returned to fix the system. I waited until today 8/31/2023. Then they say the part in the HVAC system is not covered under the warranty. Then what is covered. Go with another warranty company because this place will only take your money. They provided no follow up to see if my service was completed between 8/6-8/31. They only want your money.

      I have had Home Serve for several years. Home Serve has been a life saver for me. As a senior on a fixed income, Home Serve has taken care of my plumbing and gas line problems. The best part is that they know what needs to be done and makes sure it gets done correctly. I have recommended Home Serve to all my family and friends because they are courteous, efficient and always make sure my repairs are made promptly and correctly.

      I use to be very happy to have HomeServe until lately. I made a call because I was having plumbing issues. I was told that I did not have the services for my plumbing, I ask how could this be when I obtained both outside and inside line services at the same time, and was using the same card for payment. I was told the service was cancelled back in 2021 for non-payment, I asked how is this possible when the other service is still active. After speaking with over six agents and "supervisors" I was told my service would not be covered and I had to pay out of pocket. I was told I would not be eligible for services until 30 days, mine you I immediately re-enrolled using the same card again. The inside service is more expensive than the outside so why would I keep the most expensive and not the least expensive one. Still to this date no one has reached out or tried to correct the situation, I am in the process of finding a new company.

      I would leave zero stars if I could. Have called several times in the last month to get a repair done. They lost the first claim ticket, and now can't find people in the area to do the repair. They even asked me for referrals for places to fix this. I cannot discontinue service until the repair has been done otherwise they won't pay for it even though they were told about it over a month ago. Would not recommend. It would have been less of a hassle to not have this service and pay for repairs out of pocket.

      Great company, my father and I both use Home Serve. My dad lives in a small town, with limited service companies, they were able to get a company out to repair his problem rather quickly.
      I recently called them for electrical and plumbing problems, I live in the ******* area, they were very prompt in getting someone out on the same day. Both companies provided excellent customer service.
