I am currently involved in a 6 week long nightmare setting up TV, Internet and landline phone service at the price quoted by the sales rep first week in July.
I need help getting this done properly and at the price quoted.
Contacted Spectrum first week in July - spoke with Jennifer (direct extension ****). I specified TV with ability to record and play back on two TVs, Internet and port landline telephone number (a number I have had for 26 years). She said that because this number had once been with Spectrum (then **** ******) there would be no problem with the port. She said I didn't have to do ANYTHING. The tech would take care of all when installing service.
Installation day set for July 14 (11:00-12:00). They had no record of this and set time between 5:00-6:00. I changed my plans. NO ONE SHOWED UP. I was told they couldn't find the technician. Technician called at 10:00PM. I was in bed and declined service at that time. Tech said dispatcher would call to reschedule. No one called.
Next appointment not available until July 25! Install was done but not the phone port. I was not told I would have a temporary number (though it did appear in lengthy emails). Numerous people couldn't reach me including doctors and medic alert system.
Next appt for phone port was set at August 9. This didn't happen. The port had not been done. The porting and verification process had not been set up - a far cry from being told I had to do nothing - would all be seamless.
Billing: The package I had agreed to with Jennifer was $139.94 + small tax. There would be a one time fee $49.99 for phone port. First bill $197.00 and thereafter $147.00. I have received several billing summaries and none of them match these figures and are all significantly higher. They also didn't provide the proper receiver for recording and playback on 2 TVs and now want to charge more.
This six week nightmare has eaten up a great deal of my time and patience-completely unsatisfactory service

Garbage ******* company. When they were time warner I sued them in a class action suit for stealing data as I was making music. In which I didn't know that they changed their name to spectrum. So I went with spectrum. They sent the cops both times I used their company. They stole music and obviously sold it and did something. It makes sense because Ted t****** company and family are bigots. And I wasn't he only one complaining about spectrum or ***** ******* stealing personal data from it's customers and selling it to the entertainment companies. Oh ********** is the only state out of the union that has a do not sell my data law for it's citizens. Plus **** ******/Spectrum same **** is a dirty company. They are terrible they steal so much data. Thy are corrupt. They never even paid for my class action suit. Garbage corporation. They need to be taken down or FORK up the money. If you don't believe me look up my music just search ******* ************** listen to the music and do ur homework people. Spectrum is tied to the dirtiest of the dirtiest. Time to pay the piper. Honey.

Can't get through a movie with having to wait for it to load numerous times. I pay the con artists almost 100 dollars a month for **** service. If you can find something else use it. Pretty sure anything is better than spectrum. Even ******* * * is better

Very dissatisfied with spectrum internet service. The service is extremely unreliable. Every time I call customer service to figure out why the internet is not working they have to send out a technician but I have to wait two or more days before they can have some one come out. When the technician does finally come out they can never find the reason for the spotty service. Also the internet does not reach the entire house and I am told I will have to pay more money if I want the Wi-Fi to reach each room in the house and my house isn’t even big. We also have **** in the area so I am going to give them a try.

I returned all the equipment they supply when you start an account with them except a box that got burned and their technician came to replaced it for a new one, his responsibility was to take the Burnt unit when he replaced it, he left it behind he never said to me that I should return it to the company, so I thought it was thrash, now like a year and half later they are charging me the amount that the unit cost even though it was burnt. I called spectrum and told them that it is between their technician and them. It was a miscommunication!! So am I still responsible to pay for the Burnt unit?

Found out the hard way that they allow their employees to lie about waiving charges during an expensive upsell, and the managers refuse to listen to the allegedly record transcript. The employee John said that they’d waive a $50 fee when I upgraded- when I was billed for it, I called to have it corrected and spent 35 minutes with a ‘manager’, only to end up with a $20 credit in my next bill. I am sure that this is a lie as well. I am looking for another provider as this is the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I should have checked their ratings before doing expensive business with them- to top it off, the wifi only works about 75% of the day - the upsell was entirely BS.

Was trying to get internet set up before my move, asked about prices and fees and everything. I spoke with two reps. The second rep was hostile and aggressive. It wouldn’t be until after I placed my order did they mention additional fees that I asked about. They never mentioned that they would ***** *** The first rep said they would send a tech out no additional cost but now with the second rep fails to say anything til after placing the order as thought he knew. And then when I go back and forth tells me if I want to packaged delivered it’ll be $50. ***** will be $20. I need my internet before Monday and I move Sunday. If you choose to go with scam spectrum be assured they will not tell you the cost and fees until after your order is placed. And then you’ll have to go through an ordeal of cancellation because they hid their charges even when you ask.

6 years ago we bought our house and were paying $89 a month. We had many channels, on demand, internet and a phone line. Today we are paying $145 for internet and 10 channels (channels that we can't change to accommodate the child we had since signing up for the program) This is the most blatant form of highway robbery I've ever seen. I would highly recommend any other provider before using Spectrum, they constantly raise your bill by 5 to 10 dollars a month so even the "full price" you pay after the "promotion" is not what you will be paying in just a few months. The price raises are not a reflection of inflation or better service. You end up paying 3 times as much for the exact same service, that is also unreliable with the internet randomly going in and out throughout the day for days at a time.
