    Re: Receipt #*********
On January 2nd, 2023 I saw an ad on social media for duct cleaning. I submitted an inquiry for an estimate. A representative from RCR responded immediately by calling and gave me a rough estimate. I was asked if I would like a free estimate. I said that the amount seemed too high and I didn’t want to waste a dispatcher’s time. I was assured it is a free estimate and we would not be charged. I finally agreed, and a dispatcher came out the following morning. The dispatcher called me to tell me he was running late. I told him I had to go to work, but my husband was there with workers at the home. I again confirmed with him that this is an estimate only, we are still deciding and to not charge us for any services. He assured me. 30 minutes later I received a receipt to my email for a deposit. I immediately called the dispatcher and the company—I did not authorize this charge. They told me they would try to reverse the charge. I spoke with my husband and he told me the dispatcher told him he came to collect a deposit, that his wife wanted RCR to do the duct cleaning. My husband was very sick, juggling a crew of workers and was completely taken advantage of. This is deceptive and completely dishonest. I have been calling RCR for over a week, they are avoiding my calls and not responding to any of my messages, both by email and on social media.

RCR Home Services has been unjustly enriched and will not perform any services in our home.

To resolve the problem, I want a full refund of the charge. My credit my credit card can be credited; we can do this over the phone or through the credit card company. I have already submitted a dispute through our chase credit card company.

Enclosed are copies of the charge. There has been no service rendered.

Since no resolution has been made and RCR refuses to return any of my calls and messages I am seeking help from the Better Business Bureau.

    Regards,
