    I am a student at ****** ****** ***** ********** and our online submission runs all uploaded assignments through Copyleaks. I have never had an issue in previous semesters or any of my other classes, but for one class this semester each assignment I have submitted has returned a 50% or higher AI score. Running the assignment through other AI detector websites produces a 0% AI score. The detection system is completely faulty and inaccurate and should not be available for schools to use.

    While our AI technology has been proven to be the most accurate product on the market, there are limits to its ability. We're continuously improving the algorithm to ensure its accuracy in detecting AI content, but it is important to keep in mind that a balance must be maintained so as not to flag too much content.

    Content could be flagged as AI-generated if you've used a writing tool such as ********* or a translation tool like ****** Translate. Text scramblers and humanizers will also trigger an AI result as well. 

    Our AI Content Detector is always learning how to better pick up on AI content. Thank you for your input as we will take it into account for future improvements to our system.

    I never had a chance to respond to the business and the case was closed.  The response was not helpful or personal to my complaint and was a copy and paste off their website.  No name was signed and no contact information was provided so I am still unable to get ahold of anyone directly at Copyleaks. My complaint is NOT resolved.

    I am rejecting this response because: I sent an email to the support inbox on February 1st and still have not received a response. The technology is incorrect and it is flagging assignments that were not written with AI and multiple other online AI detectors produce a 0% result. It also only flags assignments that discuss the juvenile justice system, but not other assignments so it is clearly an issue with the topic at hand and phrases relating to the topic. My title page with my name and personal content about my hometown were also flagged as “AI” which makes even less sense. It is discouraging that there is so much inaccuracy and it has not been identified but the company.

    I was notified by email on September 3, 2024 that I was receiving an invoice from CopyLeaks with a payment due on September 3, 2024 for a reoccurring amount of $109.90. I was not given any notice about this reoccurring fee (I used the company's services one time a year ago) and did not receive any indication of a payment due from the company. I was not given the opportunity to be notified or to say "no" to this reoccurring fee. The $109.90 was abruptly removed from my checking account with ********* (in ********) without my consent on the same day (September 3, 2024) I received both the invoice and the September 3 due date. When I tried logging into the CopyLeaks system, I was able to send three in-house messages to the company, but received no response from them. I tried calling the company which is headquartered in ********* ***********, but the phone number listed on the Internet has been disconnected. I am asking for a refund for the $109.90.

    I discovered that there were recurring charge from my credit this month. $10.99 per month. Starting March 23, 2023.
    When I tried to log in to the copyleak website to check the situation, I was told that my account did not exist. I used the debit email address to reset my password, but it still shows that my account does not exist.
    I contacted the copyleaks company and they were only willing to refund the deduction for this month and claimed to have deleted my account. I need them to explain why the money was debited when there was no one in my account and to refund the money previously debited.

    The user did not reach out prior to the initial message in January, while the subscription was active since March 2023. According to the Copyleaks terms and policies, we are able to issue a refund from the previous cycle. We have made an exception and issued 4 months of refunds as a courtesy.

    This company claims that they can detect whether the writing is AI or not. They state you can plug in the essay or sentence and it provides you whether it is written by human or AI.
    However, that is a completely and false inaccurate information that is provided to the consumer. This information is completely inaccurate for the teachers and students.
    I have tested out their platform on several occasions with students and I have also written my sentences and essays myself 100% each time and it provided saying AI detected. After, intentionally altering the essay with using incorrect grammar at that point it provided saying it was written by a human. Therefore, if you write with incorrect grammar it states that it is written by a human. The following inaccurate tool has caused a lot of issues for my students on the website and it should be removed since it is providing false and inaccurate information to the schools and educators and students.
    As for remediation I am seeking a payment of $5000 with their incorrect and false statement that they are making below with the detection information and percentage that they are providing.
    "With 99.1% accuracy and full model coverage that includes GPT-4 and Bard, Copyleaks AI Content Detector is the market’s most comprehensive solution."

    I am also asking for the removal of their inaccurate free tool on their website that you can check the writing to verify whether it is AI or Not.

    This has not been resolved.

    Their site is fake and an inaccurate website where they indicate it’s for schools and teachers to pay to identify if it’s AI or real person. I have had students and myself test this site many times and it’s always inaccurate. It’s not acceptable that they are collecting payment for a site that doesn’t even function and is impacting the education of the future students. They need to shut down this site. If you don’t believe me please test it out and please write a sentence and check upon checking you will see it says it’s AI detected but if you mess up the grammar it will say it’s human. Please assist in brining down the website for inaccuracy that it provides to teachers and schools. thanks  ****
