After receiving a Scam Tracker report, Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut (BBB) opened an investigation into the business practices of HTN Ventures Limited on November 4, 2019. Specifically, BBB researched claims of the business offering employment working from home, a process, in BBB’s experience, generally linked to illegitimate activities and identity theft. HTN Ventures Limited provided the applicant training manuals, an employment agreement, and a voided check for direct depositing purposes. As with legitimate employment applications, HTN Ventures Limited’s application solicited personal information from the applicant. When doing research on the company, the consumer found they were not operating out of their purported location. While HTN Ventures Limited claims to be located at 750 E Main St Ste 620 Hill Stamford CT 06902, among other locations listed on their registration with Florida’s Secretary of State, BBB has verified with property management and the Better Business Bureau Serving Northeast Florida & The Southeast Atlantic that they are not operating out of any of the locations associated with the business filings. As of February 13, 2020 their site is still active.
