I ordered something shipped out of ***** with tracking *************. It was transferred to Pitney Bowes in ********* ** on June 21 and was brought to a facility in ****** ********* ** on June 23. It is waiting to be given to the **** with tracking number **************************. The facility is less than three hours from my house. Pitney Bowes throughout our relationship has been extremely difficult to communicate with to resolve issues, any attempt to restructure our contract for the mailing machine was met with stonewalling and delay tactics.
We finally made the decision to terminate the lease in April 2024 and the request was made, and based on the problems that we have had that the return fees would be waived.
We are now in discussions to resolve an issue because we have received more invoices from Pitney Bowes and keep on adding late fees to a bill we were never supposed to get.Business Response

Company is a shipping company with number complaints regarding its ability to maintain and complete deliveries. In my specific case, I ordered a package from a reputable storefront online, and it was released by the **** to this company on 6-18. A company in ***** shipped me a package using *******, which uses Pitney Bowes. The package was shipped from ***** on Feb. 23, 2024 with ******* tracking number ************. It arrived at the Pitney Bowes facility in ***** ***** ** on March 6, 2024 and was given a **** tracking number of **************************. However, the package was never dropped off at the post office and has now been sitting in their warehouse for over three months. I called Pitney Bowes and they would not assist me. i placed an order with the merchant on june 11 2024, and was placed in possession of pitney bowes on june 13 2024. it arrived at a facility in ******* ******* on june 16 2024 and has not moved since. the parcel has been delayed tremendously and pitney bowes has no response other to contact the merchant who no longer has possession. pitney bowes has stolen or lost my parcel. they do not take accountability for their actions.Business Response

Pitney Bowes has my package (tracking number **********************************) stuck in *********** ** since June 3 and has not been able to provide any update on the package. I reached out to their website but all they were saying is they only respond to merchants not individual customers. This does not make sense. Pitney Bowes, acting as the partner company of my original shipper, received my package on May 17, 2024. The package was then shipped to ******** ******* May 18, 2024. Package arrived in ******* May 28, 2024. Estimated delivery to destination (me) May 24 to June 6, 2024. I have attempted to contact Pitney Bowes customer service to request tracing the package. I do not know if it is lost, stolen, or just delayed. It is impossible to speak to a customer service agent.

I would like for this company to send me a box in order to return their equipment. They forced me to change meters May 2023, stating that the one I had been using for 20 years was being discontinued, and to continue using the service I had to do an upgrade.
After this upgrade, it has been difficult to get in touch with anyone in customer service by phone. They only respond when opening a case online. Customer Service does not exist anymore.
The meter dose not work as well as the one I had to return.
They are refusing to send me a box, stating that the contract I signed using a computer generated signature" stated that " THIS CONTRACT CAN NOT BE CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON" It will not allow me to cancel the auto draft online, and they are wanting to CHARGE ME $1500.00 TO GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT. I've offered to send their equipment back... but they are holding me under this contract for a ransom fee.Business Response

really nice person. This was six months after my husband passed, and I did
not feel like debating the issue, so I sent the old meter back. I received
the contract you sent, with my computer generated signature that ****** *ad me
sign. I will not be bullied into staying with a company that no longer
respect their customers wishes. I have kindly asked for a box to return your
meter and I will not be paying a ransom to release me from this bogus agreement.
The client is the only one that can auto sing the lease. The client
is being offered a settlement to cancel the contractual lease. The client has
that option.

I am rejecting this response because: at the time I spoke with Amanda I was in a despondent state having just lost my husband of 45 years, which I informed her of. The reason for the new contract needed was:1)It was needed for the upgrade
2) The amount to lease it would increase.
3) it was needed in order to change meters and continue my service.
I depended on her for guidance, just as I depended on my daughter to make my husband’s funeral arrangements, because I was not mentally or emotionally able.
She did not tell me that the contract was NON CANCELABLE FOR ANY REASON and that there would be a FEE to get out of this contract. Nor did she inform me that their customer's service would no longer be assessable as it had been in the past.This company is being highly unreasonable. And I don’t believe it is ethical to state that there is absolutely NO reason to discontinue a contract, unless you pay a fee. If I am offering to return their merchandise, WHAT will they be losing??
This is a form of extortion!!

My Brother passed away on June 15th, (****** ********) and I am just seeing this message, which is the very same message they sent before. PLEASE REOPEN THIS COMPLAINT.
This company as of today closed out my request to send me a box to return THEIR equipment.
I am not able to use the equipment since they no longer off customer service support, and I do not wish to continue to do Business with a company that seeks to extort money from the customers in order to be released from a contract that they say “CAN NOT BE CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON”

Please see attachments for offer details. We have been Pitney Bowes customer for years. We were contacted by Pitney Bowes informing us that the model we had was soon going to be decertified by **** and would need replaced by 06/01/24. When our meter ran out of postage, on 04/29/24 we requested a return kit. We returned the postage meter. We then received an offer in the mail (as well as on our online account) offering a Certified Pre-Owned Send *** * **** for $29.95 per month. However, sales rep, James A*****, stated he could not honor since our acct was closed. Account is not closed, we can still access and it d**s not state it is closed. We did not request it be closed. He stated ads are sent in advance and causes confusion. I asked, still refused. Then, this week in the mail... post dated 5/30/24, we again received yet another offer stating he had until June 28, 2024 to respond again offering Certified Pre-Owned Send*** * **** for $29.95 for 24 months. I emailed Mr. Ansel and uploaded copies of the offer. He did not respond. I feel very strongly this is false advertising. The cost he offered Our Send*** * **** meter terms on my first attempt to respond to the offer available are below. As you can see this is far and above the offer. We feel they should be made to honor the offer. They are still offering it to us.
