In May of 2019 Better Business Bureau serving CT (BBB) opened an investigation to review the business practices of Ticket Empire after multiple complaints were received by BBB and were unresolved by the business. Specifically, BBB looked into claims that tickets were not for the seats they had ordered, and when consumers contacted the venue separately, there were concerns raised about the ticket validity. When consumers have attempted to reach out to Ticket Empire, most reported being unable reach an amicable solution, and the business would site their company policies. As of August 22 2019, BBB complaints remain closed with no resolution from the business.
BBB recommends that when purchasing items for time sensitive events though third party sellers, consumers clearly communicate to the business their expectations, and review the business conditions and policies before committing to the purchase. It is also recommended that consumers research a business prior to purchase in order to identify responsive contact information in the event an issue arises with the purchased product or service.
