This company has been withdrawing funds from my personal account to pay my bill in full rather than apply a government grant I was given as a low income senior for my electricity this year and last. I never received credit on my bill for this so I am pursuing legal action through the Attorneys General offices of my state. 2 years of payments I could have used for my meds or food. THANKS ARCADIA How about a refund for this?

Do not sign with this company please. They lied about being with our electric supplier made us sign shady documents and they are overcharging us. For months we were not home and we actually had a credit on our account from our supplier of over $100, Arcadia charged us $160. They are stealing people’s money at this point.

Overcharged and no way to get a hold of someone. Complete and utter scam taking advantage of people looking to invest in solar farms. Been 3 days of trying to get a hold of someone with no reply's and you will be on hold for hours waiting. I have filed a stop payment dispute with my bank. I want a refund of the money and this company dealt with.

I had Arcadia for 3 years. They got me to sign up based on the platform that said, we will apply solar credits to your already existing national grid bill, so that way some of the energy you purchase will be generated from solar power. Recently, I had a national grid bill that was $76. I open up my Arcadia account and see that they have charged me $245 for that same bill. I was appalled at this difference and called right away to find out what was going on, surely they made a mistake or something. After hours of waiting on hold and discussing, they tell me that since the solar farm generated more energy in that month, they had to apply more credits to my account. I replied by saying, yes, that would make my bill LOWER, not 3 times what it should be. They responded by saying that since they produced more solar they had to charge me for more energy (not generated from solar) so that they could apply more solar credits to my bill this month ($12). When I mentioned that I couldn't afford to pay a bill 3 times the amount it should be, they said tough luck. When I went to cancel service they said that they were going to continue paying my bill for 3 more months and would continue charging me 3 times what my bill actually was so they could use their solar credits. In summary this was a disaster and I would not recommend. I thought that they were going to use my existing bill from national grid and apply some solar energy to it to help me save money and help the environment, instead they are exploiting people to purchase huge amounts of energy that is not solar from national grid whenever they want so they can make more money on their solar power when they choose to apply it. Would not recommend, do not let them sign you up saying they will save you money because one day out of the blue you will get a bill from Arcadia that is 3 times what your national grid bill is and they will just tell you to suck it up. Then when you go to cancel they won't let you. Unbelievable.

This summer I kept getting emails from Arcadia with dire warnings that "Action needed on your Arcadia account," going on the email to assert that "Invalid AEP OH credentials - The AEP OH username and/or password we have on file is invalid.
Please update your login information to ensure we process your bills on time, avoid past-due balances, and prevent any changes to your Arcadia account."
Here's the funny thing - I don't believe that I signed up for Arcadia, but this type of email could very easily have unsettled me enough to give Arcadia confidential information.
BE WARNED! ARCADIA LOOKS LIKE AN AGGRESSIVE SCAN TO ME.

I have been receiving emails from Arcadia Power in NY state. They are asking for my National Grid credentials so that they can access my account. I NEVEN SIGNED UP FOR THIS SERVICE. I have asked them, repeatedly to explain why I should send them this personal information, and have yet to receive any answer to that specific question. I have requested a copy of anything that shows that I authorized them to provide a service. Not sure I can do business with anyone who is unable to come up with proof of authorization. Beware.

This is a scam posing as a renewable energy alternative. They are simply a bill consolidation business, DO NOT ENTERTAIN THEM AT THE DOOR AND NOTIFY YOUR COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATLY!

      She came to the door.
She said that Arcadia owned some solar panels down the street on the highway.
Implied her company was a quasi government agency.
Said she was not switching our supplier but insisted that we allow her account info required to switch providers.
HEY! Long story short. Don't let them in, UNLESS you did the maths first.
It will cost you more, and you might buy the earth a minute or two, but you will pay now.
If you really want to make a difference, use less electricity and gas, recycle more, compost more, and buy an electric car and solar panels.
Do your homework and recognise anyone knocking on your door is probably not going to cure anything that you consider to be a problem.
One final note: She may have been mislead to what she was doing, she seemed to believe that she was helping me to collect a one time rebate, and I don;t know if she knew the process she was executing was to switch providers.
      Caveat Emptor

An employee came to our door claiming they were an employee of the state, and we believed them. It was dumb of us to not ask for an ID or business card. Thankgod we only gave a credit card and not our bank account. We noticed fradulent charged and reported it immediately.

I'd also give a 0 out of 1000 if I could. Please make sure everyone knows that this business is so much garbage. It is such a terrible company to do electric with.
First of all, their "Solar Saving" isn't guaranteed at all. There's no saving that I saw from using them, and they just kept adding extra cost to my bills. I almost suspect that they are leeching off of the extra cost to your electric bill and that's how they pay themselves.
Second, they can't retain any of their customer's since their business is terrible. So much so that they have to have a 3 month cancellation period to retain and leech off of their rightfully unhappy and upset customers that they have.
Lastly, the last few months after I cancelled, my electric usage went from 170kWh to 80kWh from June to July. And somehow, my electric bill went from $50 the previous month to $120 the month of 80kWh. I can't even begin to comprehend or describe the stupidity of this company.
For all people that used this company as their electric source when a random dude came to your front door and scammed you into signing up for it (which I completely blame myself for), please get the words out to never use this company. If someone can close this company down, I would be happy with that too. This was such a waste of time and money from all angles.
