1 starWhen I signed up for the plan several years ago, I was told by my salesperson I would be on solar immediately. I am still not on solar. Arcadia salespeople are misinformed or are being disengenous to make sales. On several occasions, even after I signed up, other salespeople showed up trying to get me to join. They are telling people they are going onto solar immediately. They acted surprised when I told them I was not yet on solar.Review fromKenneth F

A door to door representative caught me at home and told me of all the "wonderful benefits". When I told them I had a past due balance with the original supplier, he said, "No problem". A few weeks later I talk to a representative on the phone, and they told me I couldn't enroll in the program without paying the past due balance first. The next month, the used the autopay I set up to withdraw funds from my bank, despite the fact that I hadn't paid off the past due balance yet. I called to request they return my funds, the representative said they would forward a ticket to billing to see if they could stop/reverse the transaction. I called 2 days later to check in on the ticket, as I was told to, and the representative I talk to at that point said there was no way to undo the transaction and that the previous representative didn't know what they were talking about... The whole thing felt sketchy, so I dropped them, for all the lies and bs they put me through. I should have known never to trust a door to door *******.Arcadia Power, Inc.

Hi *******. Thanks so much for sharing your honest feedback. ??We are sorry to hear of the poor experience you had with one of our door-to-door representatives. It sounds like you may have been introduced to our Community Solar program, through which we securely manage utility bills and connect customers to local solar farms; as you mentioned, community solar is designed to save folks a bit of money. Customers keep a percentage of the solar credits they earn by subscribing to the solar farm, which lowers their annual energy costs. I signed up with Arcadia in ** and found no savings at all. The way they price and give credits is very vague IMO. So I wound up cancelling my service with them, which took 90 days to decouple from Arcadia and be returned to my regular utility provider. I don't recommend them.Arcadia Power, Inc.

****** told me that they had a spot for me in a solar farm. Then they took three months to start giving me the credit I was supposed to get. I assume they just keep that money. They changed the billing method twice. The percentage of the credit has been lowered twice. They changed the email on my account to an ******************** email. I was not asked about this and did not consent to it. I told them to cancel my account. I was told it would take 90 days - to cancel an account -. They are still sending me emails "forwarded" from my Utility that the Utility says they did not send.I joined this to support solar and save a little money t the same time. This company is one of the most deceptive and unscrupulous companies that I have ever dealt with.Arcadia Power, Inc.

I tried to get behind this solar community idea. After being a customer for 6 years, I can confidently say I ended up losing money. After countless "issues with my solar farm" and being bounced from farm to farm with little to no benefits, I wanted to cancel, but still stayed since it was difficult to cancel, and they take control of your utility provider account (COMED in my case). Arcadia routinely charged me erroneously high bills higher than direct from COMED (some were exactly double my bill ) and refused to refund it. I spent many hours talking to them on the phone and via email, without any explanation or resolution.Arcadia Power, Inc.

Absolutely a joke. Doesn't even deserve a star. I set this account up 6 months ago. When I set it up , I was told they would pay any outstanding bill under ******. I called Arcadia about 8/9 times in the past 5 months. No one had any idea I was talking about. They are not trained correctly. My last 3 phone calls they said my bill should of been paid and they will get that paid. Meanwhile I have a past due account with Xcel. I received a message from a manager on April 4th, 2024, telling me they are sorry and my account wasn't set up correctly and they are working on it. I called today, May 15th, 2024 and cancelled my account. The lady I talked to today, stated she saw that a manager talked to me on April 4th, ************************************ the same status it was 6 months ago. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY ARE LIARS. WHO HAS TO CALL A COMPANY 9 TIMES AND STILL THEY SIT AROUND WITH THEIR THUMB UP THEIR ***** DOING NOTHING.. RIDICULOUS!!!Arcadia Power, Inc.

The Arcadia customer service was exceptionally helpful and immediately closed the account. I was within the three day window to cancel solicited agreements also. My issue is with the representative that was going door to door. Minnesota law requires solicitors to clearly state their name, company, and what they are soliciting. My 93 year-old mother, who is hard of hearing and sick at the time, can not tell me his name (no business card or any documentation were left either), she only knows the company name from emails after, and believed she was speaking with someone affiliated with ************ He had my mom unlock her IPad. In addition, I managed her Xcel app, and when she couldnt log in he went into her app clicked the link to reset her password. He opened her email clicked the link and changed the password so he could sign her up. He did not even write down the new password for her! She could not understand or hear him, he wrote notes to her on the back of an envelope. This is unethical and lacks integrity, not to mention predatory business practices with the elderly.Arcadia Power, Inc.

Arcadia Solar determined the roof leak was a result of their solar installation and stated they'd be making the repairs. It's been several weeks now, with many voicemails, emails and online service requests left and still no call back. Communication and doing what they say they'd do would be nice.Arcadia Power, Inc.

Hi *******. It sounds like there may have been some confusion over how Arcadia works. Were happy to provide further clarity here. Our Community Solar program does not involve any installations of solar panels on participants homes. Rather, Arcadias community solar program helps customers get connected to remote solar projects sited in their local area. Not even a 1 star.
The company sends out sales reps who come onto our property, no solicitation posted, go around the building and try to gain access into our secured buildings by saying they are locked out or a delivery driver. They are aggressive, rude, pushy and unprofessional.
All of our residents are told to call the county police to have them removed from the property.Arcadia Power, Inc.

Hi JB, we’re sorry to hear of your experience and would be glad to make it right.
Arcadia currently has active representatives on the ground in states around the U.S. where homeowners are eligible for Community Solar. Each state has its own program and each member that signs up with Arcadia in these eligible areas has the opportunity to receive savings on their monthly utility bill. There are no sign-up or cancellation fees. The process to receive savings on their monthly utility bill is as simple as signing up with Arcadia. Once their solar project starts producing power, the member starts receiving savings.
Arcadia does everything it can to be clear and transparent with our customers and prospective customers. We are sorry to hear about your experience with one of our representatives and we appreciate your feedback as we’re always looking for more ways to improve our customer communications, as well as sign up experience. We have escalated this sales feedback to the appropriate party.
To discuss further, you are welcome to reach out over email at ******************* or to give us a call at ************ from 9am to 7pm EST, Monday through Friday. All the best.
